Restaurant Cocktails Bar Holiday Themed Pop Up Cocktail Lounge Opens Tonight: Miracle on Wall Street in Norwalk Stephanie Webster December 09, 2015 Amp up the festivities this holiday season by visiting Miracle on Wall Street, a pop up holiday themed cocktail bar opening in Norwalk’s Wall Street neighborhood on December 9th. What to know before you go? This is NOT your average pop up bar. The concept began in New York City last year when Miracle on 9th Street transformed an East Village lounge into a brilliantly kitschy holiday hangout. Guest mixologists, custom holiday glassware, tons of tinsel, and cocktails with names like “ The Reindeer’s Revolt,” created a uniquely fun drinking experience. Guests went crazy for the concept and now there are four pop up locations in NYC, DC, and as of today, CT. Owner, John McNulty, grew up locally, and spent his formative years working in local restaurants such as Barcelona an Rowayton Seafood. McNulty moved to NYC to open Swine, which he recently sold, creating an opportunity to come back to an area he believes in, Norwalk…Wall Street to be exact. “The place is supposed to vomit Christmas,” McNulty says laughing, It’s supposed to be kitschy. “You can’t help but smile when you walk in.” The pop up will be located above Apricot Bar & Grill on Wall St., so although Miracle is a drinks only affair, a small holiday menu will be available courtesy of the neighbors. Mirroring the original concept in NYC, there will be 8 holiday themed cocktails and a rotating cast of local and NYC guest mixologists. The launch menu has been crafted by mixologists Nico de Soto and Sam Gauthier, and include “The Redneck Flip” (bourbon, Applejack, Budweiser marshmallow syrup, beef jerky bitters and egg) as well as “A Snowball’s Chance” (scotch, pineapple, all spice dram, absinthe). A well curated selection of beer and wine will also be served. Drinks will come in holiday themed glassware created specifically for the Miracle concept. Don’t celebrate Christmas? Have no fear. A large section of the lounge has been transformed into a “hanukkah hideaway” decorated in blue, silver, and complete with a Menorah. The venue will also have a makeshift photo booth where guests can don some holiday cheer and get serious about their selfies. Miracle on Wall Street will run from December 9th -30th Wednesday - Sunday, with doors opening every night @5PM. Miracle on Wall Street 7 Wall Street (2nd floor) Norwalk
