Weekly Nibble: Bodega Happy Hour, Braising Class, X-Mas Dinners, Two Roads Brewing & More

Bodega Taco Bar has just launched Happy Hour at both locations, and it's a party. $3-$6 Bar Bites including: Pork Belly Pinxto, Cocktail Egg with Gaucamole and bacon, and Tostones w/ Achote roasted pork plus well priced beer and cocktails. Monday 4-11, Tues-Fri 4-6 pm. 

Perfect your braising skills just in time for Christmas with a Winter Braises cooking class at Barcelona West Hartford on Tuesday December 23 at 7pm.  It is $29 per person plus tax & gratuity. To make a reservation, please call 860.218.2100.

On Tuesday, December 30 from 11am-1pm, Stew Leonard’s of Newington will have a kids cooking class.  The menu is luau inspired: sweet and sour meatballs, pineapple salsa, hawaiian spam sliders and tropical cupcakes.  There will even be hula dancing.  It costs $25 per child.

Also on Tuesday, join Half Full Brewery for a holiday tasting and growler fill from 5pm-12am.

In need of last minute wines to go with Christmas dinner?  Looking for a gift?  Glen Liquors in Darien will have an in-store holiday wine tasting on Christmas Eve from 12-4pm.

On Christmas Eve, The Spread will have a special “Naughty or Nice” four-course meal for $40 per person.

Artisan of Southport will have a Christmas meal on December 25.  They have prepared a special 3 course prix fixe menu that costs $59 for adults, $30 for young adults, and $12 for kids.  Be sure to reserve now… seats are filling up! 

Norwalk’s Sugar & Olives “Farms and a Market” will not take place this week, due to the holiday.  Please join them for the indoor market again next week.

Two Roads will share their taps with Lawson’s Liquids for a day on Saturday December 27.  They will have two Lawsons beers on tap for until they run out and Sean Lawson will be there as well.  It starts at 12pm.

Please note that Walrus + Carpenter of Bridgeport is closed from December 22-25, but will reopen on the 16^th.  And don’t forget to check out their New Year’s Eve party!
