Through November 18, many of Greenwich’s best are offering prix fixe menus and other specials. Stonington’s Beer’d Brewing and West Hartford’s MaxBurger are teaming up for a beer dinner with guest speaker Aaren M. Simonici, owner and brewmaster. The dinner will take place on Monday November 16 from 6-9pm. Meanwhile, Cask Republic in Stamford is hosting a beer dinner of its own on the 16th. Craft brews from Jack’s Abbey will accompany a five-course meal, plus an amuse! It costs $85 per person, tax and gratuity included. Thanksgiving is fast approaching! On Tuesday November 17, join Fleisher’s Craft Butchery in Westport for “Knife Skills & Poultry 101 with Victorinox Swiss Army.” The class is designed to teach basic knife skills and specifically delve into breaking down and carving poultry. It costs $100 per person and lasts from 7-9pm. Barcelona Greenwich invites you to a scotch and game dinner on November 18 at 8pm. Chef Michael will prepare small plates and seasonal specialties alongside specialty scotches. It costs $45 per person and reservations are required. It will take place from 7-10pm. Call Pies & Pints to reserve: (203) 573 1743. The Knights of Columbus will hold a wine and beer tasting on Saturday November 14 from 7-10pm. It will take place at St. Rose of Lima School. The evening includes live jazz, a raffle, food from local chefs, and more. Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased at www.kofc185.org. Friday November 20, the Taps & Trees Craft Beer Fest will take place at the Matrix Conference and Banquet Center in Danbury. The event will benefit Ann’s Place, which provides community based cancer support. A $55 ticket includes tastings in the tap room, a souvenir glass to the first 300 guests, admission to the festival of trees, supper and dessert, a raffle, shopping with local vendors, music, and more. Also on the 20th, enjoy a Farm Dinner at the Field House Farm in Madison. Chefs Jared Posocco and Matt Backe will an oyster appetizer and 4 courses of local and seasonal dishes. Overshores will pair each course with one of their local Belgian beers. It costs $85 per person.
