New Haven will host the spring edition of its bi-annual restaurant week through March 27. 32 New Haven restaurants will offer special three-course, prix fixe menus for both lunch and dinner. 

Dinosaur BBQ in Stamford will have smoked corn beef specials all day on Tuesday March 17- St. Patrick’s Day! In fact, many CT restaurants have celebrations for St. Patrick’s Day!  Here are 16 to check out.

Learn how to make ice cream at Sugar & Olives on Wednesday March 18.  You’ll make a base, flavor it 3 ways, and spin it.  Sorbet is also included.  

Anna Liffey’s Fairfield has just launched a “Manhattan Style” Sunday brunch.  On Sundays, enjoy special menu items like Bailey’s Irish Cream Pancakes, a build-your-own bloody mary bar, bottomless mimosas and more.

Harry’s Wine & Liquor Market has a few events in store this week.  On Wednesday March 18 they’ll have a sake and cheese class led by Monica Samuels.  Wine Spectator named her one of "Sake's True Believers" while Wine Enthusiast' declared her one of the "Top 40 Tastemakers Under 40" for championing the Sake category.  It runs from 7-9pm and costs $35.00 per person.

The next day, Thursday March 19, they’ll have a session called “Bourbon Production, From the Still to Your Glass.”  It lasts from 7-9pm and costs $40 per person. 

Karen Brownlow’s Chop Shop Cooking has announced spring classes and there are a few this week.  “Hook, Line, and Skillet” on Wednesday March 18 from 7-9pm features fish.  On Friday March 20, participating in “If I Only Had a Grain” from 12-2pm.  Karen will prepares dish after dish, give you inside tips, and teach you how to make the recipes at home.  

Thursday March 19, Soul de Cuba returns to Elm City Market to stir up some culturally inspired dishes through the Cuban and African tradition of food and art. Patrons are invited to enjoy this cooking demonstration at 5:30pm.

Terrain in Westport will hold a game dinner on Friday March 20 at 7pm.  Chef Alissa Svorka will present  four-courses of  fresh, seasonal game dishes in the Garden café.  Feast on dishes like wild hare roulade, venison loin, and more.  There will even be wine pairings.  $58 per person plus tax & gratuity. The Chelsea in Fairfield continues to offer prix fixe menus for lunch and dinner.  From Monday-Friday, try a 2 course lunch for $14.99.  You can also come Sunday-Thursda y for a 3 course dinner for just $29.99.
