Monday March 23 Carol Lake of Simple Cheese Making and Alina Lawrence of Olivette present a Cheese Making Class at Olivette in Darien. 6-8:30pm. $60 per person which includes wine, a cheese making demo, and tastes of the 3 cheeses made throughout the evening.

Monday March 23 is Founder’s Night at Cask Republic Stamford.  Beginning at 6pm, they’ll serve 20 Founders beers, including some limited brews. 

Paint Nite Greenwich takes place at Gingerman Greenwich on Tuesday March 24 from 7-10pm.  The evening will be filled with food, drink, and painting.

Walrus + Carpenter hosts “Arts + Craft Beers” at 7:30 on Tuesday March 24.  A group of Black Rock crafters will be make no-tangle headphones, paint-swatch bookmarks, and gift hang-tags over brews.  Email afarrell@walruscarpenterct.com for more info.

Barcelona Restaurants have several cooking events to choose from on Tuesday March 24:

South Norwalk will host Paella 101 at 7pm.  Chef Wayne will demonstrate this classic dish.  It costs $29 per person, plus tax and gratuity.

At Barcelona New Haven, Chef Frank and General Manager Bart will compete in a Barcelona Throwdown.  They’ll each create two dishes based on family recipes and you judge the winner.  Reservation, call 203.848.3000.

Learn to make Chicken Pimientos with Chef Michael that night at Barcelona Greenwich.  The class starts at 7pm and costs $30 plus tax and gratuity. 

It’s the last installment of the “Cocktail Classroom” in West Hartford.  This week, the theme is whiskey.  The event starts at 7pm and costs $35 per person, plus tax and gratuity. 

Wednesday March 25, the New Canaan Library will be the venue for the 2nd annual One Book New Canaan with "Spirited" Speakeasy Event.  The night will feature brews from the Charter Oak Brewing Company as well as live music, food, and local businesses.  Proceeds for this event will go towards Breast Cancer research, Autism initiatives, and PAWS.  Purchase tickets from newcanaanlibrary.org for $15 per person.

Elm City Market presents “Cheese 101: All About Sheep’s Milk” on Wednesday March 25 at 6:30pm.  You will learn about-and sample- an assortment of cheese from around the country.

Also on Wednesday, Max Burger CT will hold a Relic Brewing Company beer dinner.  The 5 course meal will be paired with special brews.  It is $59 per person and seating is limited.  Call for reservations today at: 860.232.3300.  

On Thursday March 26, the Gabrielle Louise Show will stop at Walrus + Carpenter on their tour from Colorado.  Their live music is described as “troubadour, folk sounds.”

On Friday March 27, Chop Shop Cooking will hosts a class called “Cook the Book: China Moon.”  The menu includes mandarin pork dumplings with hoisin garlic sauce, wok steamed spinach, and more.  It costs $90 per person. 

109 Cheese & Wine will teach you all about Cheese and Wine from the Alps on March 28.  $45 per person.
