Gingerman Greenwich and the Greenwich Wine Society invite you to a special tasting of French wines on Wednesday June 17. They’ll demonstrate how to make Cuban and African dishes… and you can taste them too! The Summer Solstice Food Truck Festival in Hamden is back this year at Hamden Town Center Park on June 19 from 4:30 to 9 pm. There will be over 40 vendors, a kids play zone, a DJ Dance Party and more. The only thing you have to pay for is your food and drink! Friday June 19, enjoy a community pub crawl in Bridgeport with the Barnum Festival. Participants will receive a map of participating restaurants and bars, and be free to journey from hotspot to hotspot. There will be special drinks and free light buffets. It lasts from 5:30-8 p.m. and costs $20 per person. Blue Point Brewery Food Truck Rodeo & Music Fest will take place Saturday June 20 at Mill River Park in Stamford Downtown. With live music, almost 20 food trucks and kids games galore, it will literally be a fun family day of food and music. The Ski Sundown Summer Brewfest will take place Saturday June 20 from 4-8pm. Enjoy unlimited tastings from over 30 breweries, live music, and food. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Space is limited, so be sure to purchase soon. There are special rates for designated drivers as well. The Hartford County Farm Bureau is pleased to host a Free Farm Tour at Bushy Hill Orchard on Sunday, June 21 from 10am-2pm. There will be tractor rides, baby goats, baked goods, and more. On Saturday June 20, participate in the New Haven Downtown Culinary Tour, which will stop at 9 different restaurants throughout New Haven. The tour will be hosted by Stephen Fries, Food Columnist and Professor of Hospitality Management at Gateway Community College. The tour lasts 3.5 hours, so wear comfortable walking shoes. Crew members at Cask had the opportunity to brew a double dry hopped session IPA with them that will be featured at the dinner. It is 7pm, $75 ticket (inclusive of tax/tip). Thursday June 25 is a “Guys Night Out” at Barcelona Fairfield starting at 7:30pm. Sip on craft beer or a selection from our Scotch bar, while Chef Darren fires up the grill and roasts a pig in our caja China.
