The countdown is on to the countdown to the year’s end! As 2016 draws to a close, Connecticut restaurants are ushering in 2017 with epic parties, prix fixe menus, special dishes, and signature cocktails. Here is the ultimate guide to where you can celebrate New Year’s Eve and the New Year.

Mezon, Danbury: They will offer a 6-course prix fixe menu for $65 per person. Opt for the 6pm or 8:30pm seating. The bar will be open for walk-ins and a special a la carte menu will be available.
The Spread, Norwalk: Visit the Spread in Norwalk for an NYE menu with Hamachi Crudo, Lamb Saddle, Seared Scallops, Veal Confit, and Chocolate Mousse.
Ordinary, New Haven: Bar Ordinary in New Haven is doing something far from "ordinary," a Retro Ski Lodge New Year's Eve Party! Start your evening at the Tundra Bar for a libation then move your way into the Moose Ski Lodge for some warmth by the hearth!
Roia, New Haven: Roia will be serving bites at the bar + all night happy hour. In the dinning room 5-course prix fixe, including truffles, venison, foie, artichokes and other delicacies, plus Jazz quartet playing from 7:00pm onwards.
Pearl, Westport: Chef Mike at Pearl in Westport is preparing a NYE menu. There will also be a DJ, dancing, party favors, and a toast. Plus, kids eat free from 12-7pm!
Fortina, Stamford: They're throwing a "Fortina-style" blow out bash with a la carte or chefs menu + a midnight Champagne toast.
Fresh Salt at Saybrook Point, Saybrook: Special menu in honor of NYE. In addition, there are overnight packages available at the inn.
Match, Norwalk: Match in Norwalk invites you to an "Extravagant Evening at Match" on December 31.
Mill Street Bar & Table, Greenwich: Open for both NYE and New Year's Day! Bid farewell to 2016 with a special dinner, and usher in 2017 with a brunch!
Bailey's Backyard, Ridgefield: Always local, this farm to table is open New Year's Eve.
Basso Cafe, Norwalk: Basso Cafe will be open for both lunch and dinner on New Year's Eve. Order from the a la carte menu, or try one of their specials.
L’escale, Greenwich: L'escale presents a New Year's Eve gala. Pre gala festivities with a la carte selections will take place from 5:30-7:30pm. The gala lasts from 8-10pm and includes a 5-course pre fixe menu for $165. From 9pm-1am party with music, dancing, and an open bar for $90.
Peaches, Norwalk: Recently opened Peaches in Norwalk will serve an a la carte menu with classic southern inspired specials all night long.
Millwright’s, Simsbury: Millwright's has two NYE seatings: 5-6:30pm and 7-10pm. They are 4- and 6-course prix fixe meals, respectively.
The National, Greenwich: For $130, get canapés, a three-course dinner, a DJ, and a toast at midnight at The National in Greenwich. There are seatings at 9, 9:30, and 10pm.
Toto, Fairfield: Toto in Fairfield is open for New Year's Eve and serving tasty dishes in honor of 2017.
South End, New Canaan: Open for New Year's Eve. Find them across from the New Canaan Train Station.
David Burke Prime, Foxwoods Casino: Ring in the New Year at David Burke's Prime, located at Foxwoods Casino, with a three-course menu for $125.
Johnny Utah’s, Norwalk: Celebrate with a Pre-Prohibition NYE Party at Johnny Utah's in SoNo. A number of packages are available, with options ranging from an open bar to VIP seats and bottle service.
Griswold Inn, Essex: The Griswold Inn is celebrating its 241st year in addition to the arrival of 2017! Join them for a Three-Course Complete Dinner for $60 per person, plus tax and gratuity.
Cask Republic, Norwalk, Stamford, New Haven: At Cask Republic Stamford, special prix fixe menus will be offered throughout the night. From 10pm to close, $30 a person includes two drink tokens, a small bites buffet, music, a champagne toast, and New Year's Eve party favors. Cask Republic New Haven has specials as well.
Gingerman, Greenwich: Regular a la carte menu will be offered until 7:30. Starting at 8pm, guests can enjoy a 3-course prix fixe menu for $65 as well as a DJ, champagne toast, and party favors.
Bedford Post Inn, Bedford, NY: Though technically not in CT, the Bedford Inn is in range for a NYE celebration. Its restaurant, Campagna, will offer a $125 5-course tasting menu from 5-7:45pm and a $180 5-course dinner and champagne toast from 8-10:30pm.
Bar BQ, Stamford: Bar BQ will celebrate the arrival of 2017 with a 4-hour top shelf open bar, dinner buffet, and champagne toast at midnight. Guests will also have access to McFadden's and VIP upgrades are available.
Room 112, SoNo: Starting at 8pm, Room 112's NYE celebration will feature an open bar, complimentary appetizers from 10pm-12am and a champagne toast for all at midnight. Tickets are for pre-sale for $100.
elm, New Canaan: 4-course prix fixe menu for $185 per person. Choose from appetizers like tuna tartare with hazelnut, caviar, and brioche and mains like smoked duck.
Coalhouse Pizza, Stamford: Coalhouse Pizza in Stamford will welcome 2017 with a Founders & Maine Tap Takeover, BBQ Buffet, DJ, 72 craft beers on tap, an open bar, and a midnight champagne toast.
The Fez, Stamford: The Fez will be open on New Year's Day - January 1- from 5-10pm. Join them for Brunch for Dinner... the ultimate hangover cure.
Vespa, Westport: Make your reservation at Vespa! Order from the a la carte with additional dishes for the occasion. Choose a 5pm or 9pm seating. The later seating includes a DJ, toast, and gift as well.
Water’s Edge at Giovanni’s, Stamford: Ring in 2017 at Giovanni's in Stamford with a prix fixe menu including a salad, appetizer, entrée, dessert, coffee, and a champagne toast.
Artisan, Southport: NYE dinner seatings at Artisan Restaurant are from 8:30-10:30pm. Plus, guests can book a 2-night NYE overnight package with the Delamar that includes a $300 credit to Artisan Restaurant's New Year's Eve Dinner, an in-room bottle of champagne, a box of chocolate truffles, and a full breakfast buffet.
Roger Sherman Inn, New Canaan: It's the end of an era! Say goodbye to 2016- as well as The Roger Sherman Inn- from 8pm-2am. $250 per person includes an open bar, 3 bands, dinner, tax, and gratuity.
Café on the Green, Danbury: Featuring an extensive NYE menu with dishes like Roasted Leg of Lamb and Linguine Ala Gamberi E Vongole.
Riverview Bistro, Stratford: NYE celebration starts at 7pm. For $80 per person, enjoy a 5-course dinner, entertainment from Lights Camera DJs, an open bar, and champagne toast.
Sign of the Whale, Stamford: Sign of the Whale's NYE celebration includes complimentary passed appetizers during cocktail hour, a 5 hour top shelf open bar, a full buffet, and a champagne toast at midnight.
Nouveau Monde Wine Bar + Bistro, Newtown: Hosting a Roaring 20s NYE bash. Choose from two seated dinners from 5-6:30pm and 7:30-9:30pm, or enjoy a party in lounge from 9pm-1am.
The Beer Collective, New Haven: The Beer Collective, which debuted a few months ago in New Haven, is marking its first New Year's Eve with 4 drink tickets, special cellar pours throughout the night, a midnight toast, and an all you can eat buffet for $75. DDs can partake in the buffet for $40.
J House, Greenwich: J House in Greenwich has several NYE packages to accomodate groups of all sizes. Starting at 8:30pm, they will offer a Gourmet Dinner Buffet & Open Bar. Beginning at 10pm, guests can also select a Late Night Package.
Mohegan Sun, Uncasville: Mohegan Sun's "Party into the New Year" starts at 10:30pm in the Uncas Ballroom! Enjoy an open bar, champagne toast, breakfast buffet, dancing, and music by DJ Sinatra and Big Ben.
Aspen Restaurant, Old Saybrook: They have prepared an extensive New Year's Eve menu with dishes like Seared Foie Gras, Martha's Vineyard Bay Scallops, and Wagyu Hangar Steak.
Craft 260, Fairfield: On Saturday December 31, Craft 2016 will end 2016 with a 4-course beer pairing dinner starting at 6:30pm.
