Yoga meets beer at Broad Brook Brewing on Monday March 14. Sean Lanning will lead an hour long yoga class.  Then, have a couple of pints. Ticket are $25 and space is limited. Tickets can be purchased at the brewery. 

Also on March 14, Artisan in Southport hosts a wine dinner with Belle Pente Vineyards from Oregon. Oysters, Crudo, Cavatelli, Scottish Salmon & Duck are on the menu. $125 pp 7pm. To reserve seats call 203.307.0222.

Pearl at Longshore will be open for lunch daily at 11:30 am beginning March 14th. (Just in time for Spring!)

AMG Catering continues its Adult Winter Cooking Classes with “Quick and Healthy Dinners” on Tuesday, March 15.  The evening will cover a salmon dish, chicken dish, and a hearty vegetarian entrée.  It costs $90 per person and runs from 7-9pm.  Space is limited so buy your tickets now.

On Thursday March 17, L’escale in Greenwich will host a Flora Springs wine dinner.  Dishes, such as a flame broiled crab stuffed jumbo shrimp, will be paired with wines from the winery.  The event begins at 6:45pm and costs $95 per person, plus tax and gratuity.  RSVP by calling the restaurant or emailed david@lescalerestaurant.com

St. Patrick’s Day arrives on Thursday March 17.  A number of restaurants are holding parties and offering specials.  Here are just a few, but here is our list of 14 places for St. Patrick's Day parties

  •  Fire Engine pizza in Bridgeport will have representatives from  Guiness on hand to engrave custom glassware.
  •  Blind Rhino is putting their own twist on the holiday with St. Madness Day!  Doors open at 11am.
  •  O'Neil's in kicks off the day with a Guinness breakfast buffet at 8am.

On Saturday March 19, the 8th Annual Wine Tasting to benefit Mary's Place in Glastonbury will take place at the Riverfront Community Center.  The night includes samples of wines, beer, spirits, gourmet coffees, heavy hors d'oeuvres, and desserts. Its Lushes Ladies Night at Miranda Vineyards in Goshen!  On Sunday March 20 from 5-8pm, $30 gets ladies a glass of wine, a chair/hand massage, psychic Reading, chocolate covered strawberries, cheese fondue and more.

The Connecticut Farm Table Cookbook features recipes from some of the best local chefs.  On Tuesday April 12, The James Beard Foundation will present a Connecticut Farm Table Feast with Chefs Geoff Lazlo from Mill Street Bar & Table, Dan Magill from Arethusa al Tavolo, Nick Martschenko from South End, Pat Pascarella from Bar Sugo, James Wayman from Oyster Club, and Pastry Chef Caryn Stabinsky from Mill Street Bar & Table.  It will take place at 7pm in The Beard House.  Tickets are on sale now and cost $130 for members and $170 for the general public.  Call 212.627.2308.
