The Coventry Farmers' Market at Hale Homestead kicks off its latest season on Sunday June 5 from 11-2pm and continues every Sunday through October 20.  Local vendors like Lazizah Bakery, 18th Century Purity Farms, and Wayne's Organic Garden are all returning for the upcoming season! 

In lieu of SoNo Restaurant Week, Match Restaurant has decided to give back to the local community with a special “Match Gives” menu.  From Sunday June 5 to Friday June 10, enjoy a 3-course menu for $40 featuring local ingredients from the Westport Farmers' Market and surrounding farms.  A percentage of gross sales will go to support Community Plates, Westport Farmers' Market, Human Services Council, and The Triangle Community Center of Norwalk.

Fire Engine Pizza is also helping the community with “Monday Matters” on Monday June 6 starting at 11:30am.  Up to 20% of Monday's sales will be donated to Camp Rising Sun, a camp for kids with cancer.

On Wednesday June 8 from 6-9pm, Two Roads Brewery invites you to “Drink n’ Draw.”  An instructor will guide you through painting a Two Roads Brewery glass.  $40 gets you all your painting materials and your first beer. 

Barcade in New Haven is teaming up with Captain Lawrence Brewing from Elmsford, New York to make a collaborative beer: Simpsons Did It! IPA.  The special brew includes notes of pineapple, making it ideal for the summer months ahead.  They’ll debut it on Thursday June 9 starting at 12pm. 

Step aside rainbow bagels… Stew Leonard’s is helping seniors celebrate their graduations with custom bagels in high school colors!  This June, Stew’s will add color to their signature bagel dough before the dough is rolled together, kettle boiled and hearth baked.  Contact your local store for availability.

The Cook & The Bear will take over Hope Gallery Tattoo in New Haven for “Taco Tatoosday” on Tuesday June 7 at 7pm.  Feast on their craft BBQ fare will sipping cocktails by Ordinary and brews from Black Hog Brewing.  Themed tattoos will also be available! 

Pearl at Longshore has opened its newly renovated patio for the summer!  It’s also debuting the Live@Pearl Summer Music Series, which will take place every Sunday from 4-8pm. 

The Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company invites you to LobsterFest 2016 on Friday June 10 from 5-9 pm and Saturday, June 11 from 4-9 pm.  A $25 ticket ($27 at the door) includes a steak or lobster dinner with sides and a soda or bottle of water. A raw bar, full bar, and desserts will also be available for separate purchase.  Both nights will feature live music.  Children’s menu options are available.  

Stamford Downtown presents Brews on Bedford on Saturday June 11.  Bedford Street will be converted into a summertime festival where guests can try beer from a variety of local, regional and national craft breweries. There will also be live music, food, and games. Tickets are $25 in advance or $35 at the gate.  

The Glass House in New Canaan invites you to their summer party on Saturday June 11 from 12-4pm.  The day includes lawn games, a picnic, music, art, an auction, and more.  Tickets are on sale now.  http://theglasshouse.org/

The International Beer & Food Festival arrives in Danbury on Saturday June 11 from 3-9pm. Bridgeport’s dynamic Black Rock neighborhood will have their annual Black Rock Day on Sunday June 12 from 9am-6pm.  Participate in the Run for the Rock at 9am, partake in the annual Bed Race at 11:30, or watch the parade at noon before heading to the festival in Ellsworth Park from 1-6pm. Welcome to CT Podcast & Black Hog Brewery present the 2nd Annual Flag Day Cornhole Tournament and Pig Roast and Beach Party on Sunday June 12. The fun starts at 1pm at the brewery in Oxford, CT.  A $70 ticket includes roasted hog and fixins’, Black Hog beer on tap, a free event T-Shirt (while supplies last), and access to the corn hole tournament and all beach games. Cafemantic and Connecticut Food and Farm are coming together to teach us how to make healthy, delicious meals.
