Mill Street Bar + Table and Jessica Wong of Holbrook Farm are joining together to support the farm and highlight local ingredients.  On Sunday August 21, Chef Lazlo will prepare a special meal of appetizers, salads, dinner entrees, and dessert while Jessica details the farm’s new projects.  It runs from 5-8pm and costs $100 per person.  Purchase tickets here.

Enjoy a wine tour with the Greenwich Wine Society on Friday August 26.  A bus will leave Riverside shopping center at 9am.  From there, visit two wineries and have lunch at the Griswold Inn in Essex, CT.  The tour ends at 8pm.  Tickets are $125 per person.  

On Sunday, August 21, enjoy a Tomato Tasting at Ambler Farm where you can explore the world of tomatoes.  Guests are encouraged to bring a tomato-based dish for sharing at the event and a tomato from home- the largest wins a prize!  It costs $20 per family up to 6 people. 

The Bronx Brewery is making its Connecticut debut!  Welcome them to the state with a launch party at Barcade in New Haven from noon to midnight on Thursday August 25. 

Owenego Inn Beach Club in Branford invites you to explore Wines of the Mediterranean on Monday August 22.  The popular walk around wine tasting also features a buffet of Mediterranean inspired cuisine.  The event starts at 6:30pm.  Space is limited so please call 203-469-4218 to reserve.

Nom-eez has debuted a loyalty program.  Enjoy 2% off your initial order, and enjoy increasing discounts at 2% increments on visits thereafter.  The card is not valid for delivery and after 10 visits guests receive a new card.

Chef Silvio of Café Alegra in Madison has created five courses of Venetian food to go alongside 6 wines from the region.  Spend “An Evening in Veneto” on Thursday August 25 from 6:30-8:30pm.  It costs $85 per person. Full menu and ticket purchase here. 

Sign of the Whale’s Happy Hour Happy Hour includes $5 beer, $6 drinks, and $2 off wines.  Join them Monday-Friday from 4-7pm.

Visit Lyman Orchards on Saturday August 27 for the quintessential New England Clam Bake.  The day includes clam chowder, steamed mussels and clams, lobster, CT grown corn, side dishes, and dessert!  It costs $39.95 for adults, $19.95 for juniors ages 7-12, and $6.95 for kids ages 3-6.  2 and under are free.  Get your tickets here.

The Silo at Hunt Hill Farm will continue its cooking classes into the fall.  On Sunday August 28, join them for “From the Garden to the Kitchen,” a class on canning and pickling.  It costs $75 per person and goes from 11am-3pm.  Call 860-355-0300 to reserve. 

Visit Hawaii without leaving Connecticut!  On Saturday August 28, Chef Tyler Anderson of Millwrights will prepare Hawaiian themes cuisine at Ordinary in New Haven.  Ordinary will provide tiki cocktails.  The party starts at 4pm.
