Guest Chef Lineup for Westport Farmers' Market's 2017 Summer Season

Personally, I have always wanted to be a judge or even a guest at one of Top Chef’s cookout challenges; where the chefs are tasked with using locally sourced ingredients and doing them justice by creating an epic meal. Whether, your dreams are as ornate as mine or you would just like to have a chef cook you a delicious snack, the Westport Farmers Market is the place to be.

Every Thursday between 10- 2, a special guest chef will be at the market and tasked with finding some key local ingredients and making a meal for everyone to taste. (View the complete guest chef schedule below.) These chef are well renowned in Fairfield County and will certainly prepare some killer tastes. And if you like what you're eating the chef demo recipes will be available and all the ingredients can be found at the market. So you can buy everything you need right where you are and share the good eats with friends and family that night!

“It’s one of our best events each week,” says Lori Cochran-Dougall, executive director of the Westport Farmers’ Market. “These generous, talented chefs donate their time to teach folks just how easy it is to cook with local food. They entertain questions, share tips about best practices in the kitchen, and delight attendees with incredible sample dishes.”

The Staples High School Culinary directed by Chef Cecily Gans will kick off the Chef-at-the-Market program May 18th, opening day of Westport Farmers’ Market. The demonstration begins promptly at 10:15, and the following is the line-up for this season. Get there early, as seats are taken quickly!
