Avert Brasserie Mussels Recipe1 lb Prince edward island mussels1 diced shallot2 TBSP diced celery1 cup white wine1 tsp curry powder1 pinch saffron2 TBSP heavy cream1 tsp dijon mustard1 tsp black pepperSauté the shallots and celery in canola oil until tender. Add white wine and cook for 1 minute. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil, once boiling add mussels. Cover the pot and steam until open, approximately 1 minute. Bastille Day CelebrationAvert Brasserie will be celebrating Bastille Day on July 14th by hosting a Festival at Sub Edge Farm in Farmington / Avon (199 Town Farm Rd. Farmington, CT 06032) from 4 to 8pmTickets will be available on Eventbrite and at the door. Tickets will be $45 per adult, and $20 for Children under 12. A Portion of all proceeds will go to End Hunger CT!
