On Monday, August 21, Cask Republic New Haven will host a Counter Weight Tap Takeover at 5:00pm. New Haven Craft Beer Week returns August 20 – 26 in partnership with Beer Collective!  Bar, Barcade, Cask Republic, Ordinary, Prime 16, Three Sheets, and Beer Collective will all participate.  The New Haven Craft Beer Fest will add an exciting end to the week.  It will take place on Saturday August 26 from 11am-5pm.  

On Thursday August 24, Barcelona New Haven will teach you how to “break down branzino.”   Chef John Iatrellis will show participants techniques to prepare the dish at home.  Bites will be provided, but drinks are extra.  The class starts at 6pm. 

Food trucks are rolling into Stamford on Saturday August 26!  Hey Stamford invites you to their first Food Festival with over 10 trucks, local food vendors, craft beer, and entertainment.  The shindig will take place at Mill River Park.  Participants include Boothbay Lobster, Donut Crazy, DrewbaQ, Hapa, and so many more!  General admission is $10. 

The Connecticut Taco Festival takes over the Danbury Ice Arena on Saturday August 26 from 10am-8pm!  Enjoy gourmet tacos from restaurants and food trucks like Hapa, Mezon, El Cayote, and more.  There will also be margaritas, tequila, taco eating contests, and wrestling featuring Rey Mysterio!

Starting August 25, “Find the Wine” at Holmberg Orchards & Winery in Gales Ferry.  The “Grown Up Corn Maze Adventure” will be followed by live music, food, and a glass of wine. 

Tickets are on sale for the Stamford Museum and Nature Center’s Fall Farm to Table Supper.  On September 24, Matt Storch, Chef and Owner of Match Restaurant in South Norwalk, will create a beautiful meal inside the Bendel mansion.  There will also be a preview of the museum’s upcoming exhibition, Illustrations of Imaginative Literature: The Korshak Collection.

Oak Haven Table & Bar in New Haven invites you to a Rare Whiskey & Local Beef Slider Pairing on Saturday August 26 from 4-7pm.  Angel's Envy Rye, Four Roses Small Batch Barrel Strength, Willet Straight Rye 3 Year, Knob Creek 25th Anniversary Single Barrel, Whistle Pig Boss Hog (2016) will be served alongside a complementary slider.
