It’s almost time to deck the halls… Christmas is right around the corner! While the season is joyous and filled with cheer, there is also plenty to get done from shopping to decorating to travelling. If you prefer dining out to preparing a giant meal at home, Connecticut restaurants have you covered with tasty menus, buffets, and specials.

Here is a guide to restaurants where you can spend a festive Christmas Eve or Christmas.

Washington Prime, Norwalk: On Christmas Eve, Washington Prime SoNo will serve a special 3 course prix fixe menu for $75 per person plus tax and tip.
Fresh Salt @ Saybrook Point Inn, Saybrook: On Christmas Day at Fresh Salt, join them from 11am-6pm on Tuesday, December 25th for a Yule Tide Harvest Table. There will be a display of appetizers, seafood, soups, salads and a carving station along with an impressive display of freshly made desserts.
L’escale, Greenwich: L'escale in Greenwich will be open on Christmas Eve from 5:30-10pm and on Christmas Day from 12-7pm. Both days, they will offer a prix fixe menu for $75 per adult and $25 for kids 12 and under.
Artisan, Southport, West Hartford: Artisan, with locations in West Hartford and Southport, will serve up a special $65 prix fixe menu on Christmas Day.
Café on the Green, Danbury: Café on the Green in Danbury will offer a 4 course prix fixe holiday menu on Christmas Eve.
The Simsbury Inn, Simsbury: Evergreens Restaurant at The Simsbury Inn presents a Christmas Eve Dinner . $59.95 (plus tax and tip) includes a complimentary champagne flute, amuse bouche, starter, entrée, and dessert. Call 860-651-5700 for reservations.
Tarry Lodge, Westport: Tarry Lodge is feasting on Christmas eve with their famous Feast of The Seven Fishes, complete with zuppa dei pesce, cockles, mussels….I could go on all day.
Community Table, Washington: Celebrate Christmas Eve with Chef Paul Pearson has created a special holiday Prix Fixe for you and your loved ones to enjoy. $95 per person for three courses.
Mill on the River, South Windsor: They will be serving a special prix fixe menu for Christmas eve ($39.95), and lunch that day. On Christmas day, dinner will be served from 11:30 – 6:00 Holiday Prix Fixe.
Water’s Edge at Giovanni’s, Darien: The Water's Edge at Giovanni's in Darien will have a complete Christmas Eve dinner from 4:30-9:30pm. $60 includes an appetizer, garden salad, entrée, dessert, and coffee.
Rive Bistro, Westport: Rive Bistro's Christmas Eve Prix Fixe Menu is $60 per person, plus tax and tip. Select an appetizer, entrée, and dessert.
The Stack & Bear’s BBQ, New Haven: The Stack, featuring Bear’s Smokehouse BBQ, will be open Christmas Eve from 11am-5pm. They'll also offer a holiday to-go menu.
elm, New Canaan: elm in New Canaan will have a 3 course prix fixe holiday menu on Christmas Eve for $95 per person. There will be a special menu for kids as well.
Match, Norwalk: Match will be open for Christmas Eve dinner with some seasonal specials.
Homestead Inn, Greenwich: Homestead Inn will be open on both Christmas Eve and Christmas with special holiday menus.
Bobby Flay’s Bar Americain, Mohegan Sun: Bar Americain will offer a 3-Course Meal for two on Christmas Eve. For $150, enjoy a Split Caesar Salad for two, Two 6 oz. filet mignons with lobster split, and chocolate cream pie.
Todd English’s Tuscany, Mohegan Sun: As a Christmas special, Todd English's Tuscany will serve Braised veal osso buco, risotto alla Milanese for $60
Season’s Buffet, Mohegan Sun: At Mohegan Sun's Seasons Buffet, Christmas Day lunch will feature carved honey-mustard glazed ham in addition to slow roasted steamship of beef and oven roasted turkey. Dinner will showcase shallot-crusted slow roasted prime rib.
Basso Cafe, Norwalk: Join Basso Café Christmas Eve! They'll have the a la Carte menu plus Christmas inspired Chef specials. Dan's Jazz will also perform. For that portion of the evening a $20 cover includes a glass of sparkling. Make your reservation today!

Cask Republic, Stamford: On Christmas Eve, visit Cask Republic in Stamford for Chef's specials inspired by the holiday.
Pearl, Westport: Westport's Pearl at Longshore is getting into the holiday spirit with live music on Christmas Eve. "Jazz Rabbi" will perform from 6:30pm to 8:15pm.
