Weenie Lynn's Hot Dog Food Truck: Killer Dogs & Sandwiches

After seven years in business, it feels like it's about time to celebrate one of the old school CT food trucks, Weenie Lynn's. Weenie's is a family-owned & operated hot dog and specialty sandwich truck that has been serving the local food scene since spring of 2011. The truck is based in Danbury CT, but they are more than happy to bring their delicious dogs (and five kids) all over the tri state area...and they do. Weenie's serve two sizes of 100% All-Beef Hot Dogs (over 20 toppings & condiments), as well as Bratwurst, Kielbasa, and fresh-cut (never frozen) french fries, They also feature an ever growing menu of delicious sandwiches, many of them riffs off the classic grilled cheese.

Let's start with The Porker, their #1 customer favorite. This little lovely is an American grilled cheese sandwich, with seasoned barbecue pulled pork, on crunchy toothsome artisan bread. Other favorites are the El Cubano, seasoned, juicy, slow cooked shredded pork shoulder on a sub roll grilled inside & out, with savory Ammerlander Swiss cheese yellow mustard, dill pickle chips, and of course...grilled baked Virginia ham. The Pickelena, named after one of their five children (who all help out on the truck) is a fun twist on the classic grilled cheese with multigrain bread, American cheese and the delightful crunch of dill pickle chips. The Popeye is yet another grilled cheese spin-off, but this time with sautéed Spinach, garlic and onions. They are all delicious.

Weenie's makes a regular visits to the following locations: Ives Concert Park, Danbury; The Newtown Arts Festival; The Stormville Airport Food Truck & Beer Fest, Stormville Wine, Cider & Food Truck Fest, The Western CT Militia sole food vendor, The Newtown Labor Day Parade, Southbury Celebration, Danbury Mall Fireworks, Danbury Pet Expo, Danbury Concerts on the Green, multiple events at Western CT State University, Bethel concerts on the Green; Seymour Founder's Day, Shelton Day. They can also be found at food truck festivals throughout the state, breweries, and are more than happy to cater your next private events/celebration. They have expanded into NY State since purchasing the food trailer and will even be at Millbrook Vineyards & Winery in Millbrook, NY this year.
