Don’t forget to BYOB! The class costs $90 and runs from 6:30-10pm. Fairfield Cheese Company presents Charcuterie 101 on Tuesday June 19. In the class, taste through some of their meat offerings and discuss the growing popularity of the very old world process. It is $50 and lasts from 7-9pm. Pizza In The Park: Presented By Half Full Brewery will take place on Thursday June 21 at Mill River Park & Greenway in Stamford. It will feature a true "garden" themed Pop Up Beer Garden, Pizza Vendors from CT and beyond, 3+ hours of live music, Lawn Games, and a Pizza Making Competition.Jamaican American connection & New Haven Caribbean Festival present the 1st Caribbean Restaurant Week June 17-23rd. Restaurants are featuring $10 Take Out and include: Island Spice, Tropical Delights, Patty's Caribbean Cuisine, Ninth Square Caribbean, JA Bar & Grill and Around the Clock Restaurant. Ordinary New Haven is adding an extra hour to their happy hour! Open to anyone age 21 and over, “Maritime with a Twist” features tastes from nearby restaurants in the South Norwalk (or SoNo) neighborhood, as well as refreshments by artisanal distillers and distributors. Sample them all while enjoying the entire Aquarium for one price. Participating restaurants include The Blind Rhino, The Cask Republic, Harlan Publick, Killer B Burger, Knot Norm’s, and more. The Westport Farmers’ Market will now have a “Chef-at-the-Market Competition!” On the third Thursday of every month through September, three chefs from local restaurants compete. Each gets $20 and 45 minutes to shop from vendors at the market and create an appetizer-sized dish. Volunteer judges, selected at random from shoppers that day, will select one winner who will move on to the semi-final round the third Thursday, September 20th. The top two chefs from the semi-final round will move on to a final competition in October at the WFM’s biggest event of the year, “Fork it Over.”Kids eat free on Mondays at the Tiger’s Den in Ridgefield. On Thursday June 21, participate in “Hadley + Occum, A Farm Dinner By The Chefs from Zohara Mediterranean Kitchen.” Sub Edge Farm will serve as the backdrop for a farm-to-table dinner prepared by Connecticut chefs and overseen by Chef Dorjan Puka and Chef Scott Miller. Tickets are $99 and te event runs from 7-10pm. Seafood Thursdays are back at SBC!
