20+ Places To Celebrate Oktoberfest in CT: 2018 Edition

Fall is here!  That means spice pumpkin lattes, apple picking, Halloween shopping, and of course… Oktoberfest!  Connecticut restaurants, farms, museums, and fairgrounds are holding their own versions of the German holiday.  These places are serving up German-inspired cuisine, brews, music, entertainment, and more. We will continue to update this list as venues announce events. Check back for more events throughout the month. 

  1. Bruce Museum, Greenwich: On Thursday, September 27, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, the Bruce Museum in Greenwich will host its first-ever Oktoberfest celebration. Featuring German beer from Paulaner USA, Oktoberfest at the Bruce Museum will also include a light menu of classic German fare from Harlan Haus and a German band performing traditional Oktoberfest music.
  2. Two Roads Ok2berfest, Stratford: Two Road's Annual Ok2berfest is September 15 & 16 from 12-6:30pm. The event features German music, German-style beers, food, games and more. $25 includes entry, a limited edition commemorative Ok2berfest stein and your first beer.
  3. Castle Hill Farm REACHtoberfest, Newtown: REACH Newtown and Yankee Wine & Spirits are teaming up for an Oktoberfest fundraiser on October 6. Each ticket includes live music, an unlimited craft beer tasting, a wine tasting, and all-you-can-eat from Big Green Truck Pizza and Spuds Your Way.
  4. Wakeman Town Farm Harvest Fest, Westport: Wakeman Town Farm invites you to the sixth-annual farm-to-table Harvest Fest event on Saturday, September 22. In addition to fabulous food and wines, there will be both a silent and live auction.
  5. Hub & Spoke, Bridgeport: Celebrate Oktobefest at Hub & Spoke in Bridgeport on Friday 9/28 at 7pm. Enjoy a buffet with German-inspired fare and beers like Spaten, Sam Adams Oktoberfest, and Paulaner.
  6. Kinsmen Brewing Co., Milldale: Kinsmen Brewing Company in Milldale is taking their Oktoberfest celebration outside this year. Visit them on September 29, when a $60 gets you food, drink, a commemorative glass, music, and beer.
  7. Villa Bianca, Seymour: Villa Bianca presents a "Valley's Oktoberfest" in Seymour on October 5. Enjoy an evening of live music, cuisine, and a variety of the best local and international Oktoberfest beers.
  8. Rothbard Ale & Larder, Westport: Rothbard Ale + Larder's annual Oktoberfest is Saturday, September 29. They'll be serving authentic German beers and dishes alongside games and live music all day long.
  9. Half Full, Stamford: OktoBEERfest In The Park, presented By Half Full Brewery, will take place on September 29 at Mill River Park in Stamford. The festival features food trucks, a pop-up beer garden, and live music.
  10. Downtown Oktoberfest, Bethel: The town of Bethel hosts its own Oktoberfest on September 23 from 12-6pm.
  11. Barktobest @ Beer Garden at Shippan Landing, Stamford: Get your four legged friends ready for Barktoberfest on September 21 at the Beer Garden at Shippan Landing. There will be food trucks, beer, dog treats, a canine costume contest, and more.
  12. East Side Restaurant, New Britain: Every day is Oktoberfest at East Side Restaurant in New Britain! Complete with a "Munich" Room and Englisher Bier Garden, you can enjoy German beers and cuisine.
  13. Quassy Amusement Park, Middlebury: September 29 and 30 marks Quassy Amusement Park's annual Fall Fest! There will be live music both days as well as free pumpkin decorating, food, and seasonal beer.
  14. Milford Oktoberfest, Milford: The 30th Annual Milford Oktoberfest spans 2 days this year! From Friday 9/21-Saturday 9/22, enjoy music, beer, food, a "Run & Chug" 5k, costume contest, and more.
  15. Harbor Brew Fest, Milford: This year, the Harbor Brew Fest is taking place at a new location. Find it at Fowler Field in Milford on September 29.
  16. Trackside Oktoberfest, Wilton: On Saturday 10/13 at 7pm, Trackside Teen Center of Wilton hosts an Oktoberfest celebration. It will include delicious German food and traditional Oktoberfest beverages. This is a 21 and over event.
  17. Tigin Irish Pub, Stamford: n honor of Oktoberfest, Tigin in Stamford has announced a beer dinner with Two Roads on September 26. Five beers will be paired with four courses for $50 per person, plus tax and gratuity.
  18. Connecticut Valley Brewing Company, South Windsor: Connecticut Valley Brewing hosts an Oktoberfest celebration on September 22. Starting at noon, join them for beer, stein hoisting, live music, and more.
  19. THC, Derby: The Hops Company ("THC") in Derby hosts its 3rd annual Oktoberfest on October 7 starting at 12pm. Drink beers from Von Trapp Brewing alongside live music, giveaways, stein hoisting, and brat-eating contests.
  20. Powder Ridge, Middlefield: Powder Ridge Mountain Park in Middlefield, presents an Oktoberfest celebration on October 6 at 4 pm. There will be beer tastings, ski lift rides, a home brew competition, cooking demonstrations, food trucks, and more.
  21. Max’s Hoptoberfest @ Rosedale Farms, Simsbury: Max's 5th Annual Hoptoberfest takes place on October 7. Part of the Max Chef to Farm series, feast on a German inspired spread at Rosedale Farms & Vineyards.
  22. Stony Creek’s Docktoberfest, Branford: tony Creek's annual Docktoberfest will unfold on October 13. They're turning the brewery into a German Beer Garden with live music, games, food trucks, and beer!
