On Tuesday November 12, Lidia Bastianich comes to Tarry Lodge in Westport.  She’s celebrating the release of her new cookbook, Felidia: Recipes from My Flagship Restaurant.  Guests will get a signed copy of her book as well as a four course dinner with optional wine pairings.  There are two seatings, 5-7pm and 7:30-9:30pm.  Tickets start at $135, inclusive of tax and gratuity. 

The story of the legendary Vegetarian spot, Bloodroot is coming to life on the big screen!  The movie will be shown on Monday November 11th at 6:50pm at the Cinepolic Chelsea Theater in New York City as part of the Doc NYC Festival.  Selma and Noel will be in attendance, along with the filmmakers for a Q&A after the showing. 

CT Cider Week is coming!  On Wednesday November 13, Mystic Cheese Company invites you to a cheese and cider pairing class- and it’s all gluten free.  It runs from 6-8pm and costs $45 per person. 

On Thursday November 14, Taproot and Worldwide Wines present a Joto Sake Tasting.  Five courses will be paired alongside complementary sakes.  Doors open at 6pm and the meal starts at 6:30pm.  Tickets are $75 per person, plus tax and gratuity.  Call 475-329-5395 to reserve.

Bar Rosso in Stamford is now open on Mondays!  With their new hours, they are now open Monday- Wednesday starting at 4pm and Thursday- Sunday starting at 11am.

November 14, 7-9pm, Joy Pierson, Stamford-based cookbook author, nutritionist and co-founder of NYC's famous Candle Cafe and Candle 79 restaurants, will lead a plant-forward Thanksgiving cooking class at Mike's Organic Market in Stamford. The finest local and seasonal ingredients will be transformed into delicious dishes, providing inspiration for new additions to your holiday table. Wine, tasty treats and goodies to take home are all on the menu!

Tuesday November 12 is all about “Beerin’ on a Budget.”  Alvarium Beer Company is working with Bear’s BBQ Food Truck to pair their craft brews with comfort food.  The menu is as follows- First Course: "Trash Tray" French fries, mini cheese curds, smoked brisket, and deviled eggs.  Second Course: "Mom's Spaghetti" gooey homemade mac and cheese with crumbled Dorito and flaming hot Cheeto crust.  Third Course: "Surf N Turf" Matt's 3am drunken tuna melt & brisket sloppy joe combo.  Fourth Course: "Dumpster Pie" Little Debbie Nutty Bar tiramisu style dessert.  $35 per person. 

Hartford Flavor Company will hold a Fall Mixology Class on Wednesday November 13.  Learn how to make, shake and mix up craft cocktails for the fall season and beyond.  Pizza will be served!  Tickets are $40 per person.

BAD SONS Beer Co. is teaming up with the Street N Savory food truck for a four course beer dinner on Friday November 15.   Chef Jake from Street N Savory has created special dishes to pair with your favorite BAD SONS beers.  Tickets are $65 per person and are extremely limited. Have you ever wondered how to make the perfect antipasto platter?  Learn on November 15, just in time for the holidays!  Thimble Island Brewing Company in Branford will lead you through a workshop as you sip on a glass of beer, wine, or cider.  Tickets are $65. 

The Westport Farmers Market is moving indoors for the inter season.  Celebrate the new location’s opening-day on Saturday November 16 from 10 am to 2 pm at Gilbertie’s Herbs and Garden Center. The Bedford Playhouse now has its own full café!  The Playhouse Cafe will be open starting at 9am Monday – Friday. Supper & Soul, Downtown Westport’s Dinner and Concert Series, returns on Saturday November 16.  This time, the evening features the music of Kat Wright.  A single ticket buys you a three course dinner, the show and happy hour pricing for drinks after the concert. 

The Perfect Pear in Chester will show you how to throw a plant-based and delicious Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday November 16.  Passionate home cook Emily Florentino is adept at developing plant-based recipes that are sure to please the pickiest of eaters.  Tickets are $50.
