On Tuesday January 7, get ready to be a part of the mystery.  Brewport hosts a Murder Mystery Party from 7-10pm.  With your ticket, you will be given pizza, two beers, a commemorative case study notebook, and the opportunity to solve a murder! 

In need of more veggies after all the sweets over the holidays?  Check out Chop Shop Cooking’s “The Veggie Table” cooking class on January 9.  The menu includes Sesame Soba Noodles with Crispy Tofu & Pickled Cukes, Wild Mushroom Frittata, Roasted Cauliflower Tacos with Chipotle Romesco, and Black Bean & Cheese Enchiladas.  $80 per person. 

Learn “How to Make Farmers Cheese” at the Fiddleheads Food Coop in New London on Thursday January 9.  The FREE workshop will demonstrate how to make simple Farmer's cheese using a variety of vinegar and seasonings. Every participant will get to take home a sample of cheese.  Be sure to register online. 

Torrison Stone & Garden LLC in Durham hosts a Gourmet Hot Chocolate Board Winter Workshop on Thursday January 9.  You will go home with a beautiful charcuterie board filled with gourmet treats to compliment hot chocolate. In addition to the dark chocolate, fresh fruit, and dipping cookies, you will learn how to make a seasonal, elegant place setting for each of your guests. 

On Friday, January 10, join MasterChef Season 10 contestants, the "MasterBuds," for a unique culinary experience in Hartford!  Tickets include the full, 4-course plated experience and a MasterChef contestant meet and greet. A cash bar will be available for guests 21+. 

Dom’s Cheese Shop in Avon presents A Taste of Italy on Friday January 10.  Their cheese and wine experts selected five cheeses made by small-scale Italian artisanal producers and paired them with five great Italian wines as well as locally made jams, pickles and charcuterie.  Tickets are $65 per person and can be reserved online. 

Do you know everything there is to know about Mean Girls?  Put your knowledge to the test at Sign of the Whale’s Mean Girls Trivia Brunch on Saturday January 11 from 12-1:30pm.  Please make your reservations as a group/team.   

Join Stella’s and Mazie’s for an evening of casual elegance, culture, social simplicity and authentic Sene-Gambian cuisine on Saturday January 11.  The evening begins with a social hour at 5pm and continues with a six course sit down dinner at 6pm.  The event runs from 5-9pm and tickets are only available online. 

Tavern on State’s Sunday Supper Series returns on January 12th with a dinner From the Sea!  The 5 course dinner will be paired with wines from Opici. Menu will be posted a week prior.

Artichoke Basille’s Pizza, the nation’s largest and fastest growing New York pizza concept, has officially opened doors at its newest outpost in downtown Hartford.
