On Monday April 1, Amis Trattoria in Westport hosts a Wine Dinner with French Winery Domaine Chante Cigale. Guests will get the chance to meet the vineyards winemaker, Jean Yves, while enjoying a 4-course meal created by Culinary Director, Brad Spence, paired with wines and homemade limoncello crafted by the Amis team.

Oyster Club in Mystic invites you to a Panel Discussion entitled “Women's Work: In the Field” on Tuesday, April 2 from 6-7:30pm.  Join them and celebrate remarkable women who are growing and producing food in our region. Enjoy a farm-inspired cocktail and sample tastes from the land and the sea from women growers and chefs.

On April 4, Artisan West Hartford will be joined by Edrington Whiskey Representative Jeremy Fonicello for an evening of Macallan Whiskey.  Dishes include Hazelnut Crusted Rack of Lamb, Whisky Flambe Maryland Rock Shrimp, Molten Lava Cake, and more.  The event starts at 6:30 and tickets are $100 per person. 

Flinders Lane Kitchen & Bar will be hosting 'Symphony Uncorked' in collaboration with the Stamford Symphony Orchestra on April 3rd, from 6.30 - 9..30. Musicians will play two pieces of music whilst we pour Australian wines from smaller, boutique producers. Food will also be available for purchase from the menu. Tickets are $39 per person for unlimited wine and draft beer for the evening and can be purchased through Eventbrite 'Symphony Uncorked'.

Chop Shop Cooking will have a cooking class called “South of the Border” on Wednesday April 4.  For $80, learn how to make Grilled Scallop on Tortilla with Corn Avocado Salsa, Shrimp & Snapper Ceviche, Skirt Steak Quesadillas with Caramelized Onions & Corn Salsa, Crispy Fish Tacos with Pickled Onions & Baja Lime Cream, and Sweet Potato Corn Feta Salad.

The Westport Weston Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the Supper & Soul dinner and concert series will continue on Saturday evening April 6.  The single ticket multi-faceted event entitles allows participants to enjoy a 3 course meal at one of eight downtown restaurants: 190 Main, Amis, Rothbard Ale & Larder, Spotted Horse, Tavern on Main, Jesup Hall, Matsu Sushi and Wafu.  Then, see a concert at the Seabury Center and return to any of the same restaurants for happy hour pricing for drinks.  The ticket for this event will be $75 per person.

Experience Prix Fixe Thursdays at The Schoolhouse in Cannondale.  Every Thursday, get four courses  for $48 per guest and even opt to pair the meal with wines for only $75! 

The Mohegan Sun Whiskey Fest returns on Friday April 5.  Enjoy live music and fare catered by Backyard Smokers of New London, CT while tasting top-of-the-line whiskey, scotch, bourbon, rye, and craft cocktails.  Chat with some of the distilleries' representatives and experts on their style whiskeys and other libations! 

Lady Katharine Cruises in Middletown presents a Chocolate & Wine Cruise on Friday April 5.  Enjoy light food throughout the evening along with live music.  Finish the evening with a table of delicious and delightful desserts.  Additional beverages are available for purchase aboard the boat. 

Peaches Southern Pub & Juke Joint hosts its next “Big Fat Drag Brunch” on Saturday, April 6.  Join hostess with the mostest Cassandra Fiore' along with Loosey LaDuca and Mia E Z'Lay for two shows: one at 12 noon and the second at 1:30pm. 

Celebrate Spring at The Greenhouse Beer Festival on Sunday April 7.  Michael’s Greenhouse in Cheshire will serve as the backdrop for live bluegrass music and delicious offerings from Caseus Cheese Truck, Wolfski’s Pierogi Truck, and Sobo Bros BBQ. 

Jarlsberg® Cheese has launched a year-long giveaway series that centers on delightful cheese plates made in collaboration with Marissa Mullen, the founder of “That Cheese Plate” and “Cheese By Numbers.”  The next giveaway contest will be held for Easter with “That Brunch Vibes Only Plate” gift basket. Calabro Cheese is a family owned company founded by Joseph Calabro in 1953.  The manufacturing plant is in East Haven, CT and is run by Joseph's nephew, Frank Angeloni.  Calabro Cheese Smoked Burrata recently won Best in Class at the United States Cheese Championship Contest in Green Bay, Wisconsin, which had a record-setting 2,555 entries from 35 states.

Le Fat Poodle is thrilled to introduce Executive Chef Kris Grossmann.  He began his chef career at Grand Hotel “Nassauer Hof” in Germany.  Since then, has cooked for celebrities including Pele, Sting, Paul Simon, and even the Dalai Lama! “Chef Oscar Herrera is a tough act to follow,  but I think that’s what I’ve found with “Le Fat Poodle” to cook whatever you want no matter from what corner of the world it comes from!” he says.

Sarah’s Wine Bar and Bernard’s in Ridgefield presents a “Gems of France” Wine Dinner on Sunday April 7.  Christian Dalbavie, French portfolio specialist for Kobrand, will lead guests though a 6 Course Tasting Menu with Wine Pairings.  It costs $125 per person (tax and 20% service charge additional).
