30+ CT Restaurants, Farm Dinners & Special Events for Father's Day 2019

Last month we celebrated Mom... now it's time to celebrate Dad!  Connecticut restaurants, breweries, wineries, and caterers are getting creative with special ways to honor fathers.  From al fresco feasts to beer dinners to vineyard festivals to BBQ, here is a list of over 30 places with celebrations on Father's Day and Father's Day weekend.  Be sure to make your reservations now.  Seats fill up quickly!

Goshen Stampede, Goshen: Just in time for Father’s Day, the 14th Annual Goshen Stampede takes place from June 14th - 16th at The Goshen Fair Grounds.  There will be live music, demolition derbies, truck pulls, rodeos, barrel racing, music, rides, food, and more.

Bear’s Smokehouse @ Alvarium, New Britain: Alvarium and Bear's Smokehouse are teaming up for Father’s Day.  Bear's Smokehouse will serve up the best authentic Kansas City Barbeque on the patio while Alvarium pours brews to go with the meal. 

Community Table, New Preston: Enjoy a special dinner created just for the fathers in your life as Chef Paul Pearson prepares his dads favorite meal and sharing it with you: Ct Seafood Platter, Slow Cooked Prime Rib, Yorkshire pudding, horseradish cream, and roasted potatoes. Full menu will be served as well.

Untiled Bistro @ Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, Hartford: On, Sunday, June 16 treat Dad with a special Jazz Brunch.  There are two seatings available: 10:30am & 12:30pm.  In addition to live music by Sarah Rose Nunes and Joe Carter, tickets include a buffet, museum admission, and one complimentary bloody mary or mimosa. 

Gates, New Canaan: Gates Restaurant will be offering Roast suckling pig & Tomahawk Steak for dad!

Match & Match Burger Lobster, Norwalk & Westport: Match and Match Burger Lobster will be open on Sunday 6/16 and serving their regular menus.

Ordinary, New Haven’s oldest tavern, will be celebrating Dad’s on Friday and Saturday of Father’s Day Weekend (the bar is closed on Sundays) with a “Break Even Bottle” for Fathers.  The bar will be offering specials pours of Pinhook Over Proof Bourbon for $2.00 per pour.  Due to this exclusivity of this spirit, it will be limited to one pour per Dad and will be on the menu that weekend until each of the two bottles in stock are gone!

Outriggers, Stratford: Outriggers in Stratford will have special dishes for Dad alongside their regular menu items.  Waterside views complete the dining experience. 

Guilford Mooring, Guilford: Guilford Mooring (Guilford) will be offering their regular a la carte menu for Father’s Day, as well as some special dishes, including18oz. Rib Eye with 3 Baked Stuffed Shrimp, Mashed Potato & Vegetable of the Day, 24oz. Porterhouse Steak, Mashed Potato & Vegetable of the Day, and Lobster. 

Carbone’s Prime & Carbone’s Kitchen, Rocky Hill & Bloomfield: Carbone’s Prime (Rocky Hill) and Carbone’s Kitchen (Bloomfield) will be gifting all Dad’s that dine with them on Father’s Day a $20 gift card for a future visit at either location through the end of August (for large parties, one gift card will be offered for each four entrees purchased).   

The Hops Company, Derby: Father’s Day at The Hops Company includes 36 beers on tap and brunch specials!  In addition, there will be Cider Mimosas, Micheladas & Bloody Mary’s for 1 Penny PLUS 1 item off the Brunch Menu for $26 from 12pm-3pm.  Live music starts at 2pm.

Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse, Mohegan Sun: The first 23 fathers who order MJ’s 16 oz. USDA Prime Delmonico Steak will receive a complimentary gift – a gorgeous, exclusive branded steak knife.  Michael Jordan’s Steak House will also serve a special Father’s Day Veal Tomahawk Chop for $75. 

Max Chef to Farm @ Rosedale Farms & Vineyards, Simsbury: Rosedale Farms and Vineyards hosts its Annual Father's Day Festival on Sunday 6/16.  This year's theme is a Backyard BBQ and features Chef Steve Michalewicz of Max Catering and Events.  Choose a 1pm or 3pm seating. 

The Lace Factory, Deep River: Take Dad to a BYOB Sunday brunch at the Riverview Room at the Lace Factory.  Join them from 10am-2pm. 

Madison Beach Hotel, Madison: The Madison Beach Hotel presents “Dinner on the Dunes” for Dads and Grads on Sunday June 16.  The evening includes a classic New England Clam Bake right on the beach!  Tickets start at $75. 

Fresh Salt @ Saybrook Point Inn, Saybrook: Fresh Salt wills serve a Father’s Day Brunch from 10:30am-3:30pm.  Presented buffet style, it will feature salad, a pasta station, taco station, carving station, omelets, waffles, and more. 

The Spa at Norwich Inn, Norwich: In addition to offering their regular Brunch a la carte menu, the Norwich Inn will have a Father’s Day, BBQ outside on the patio deck. All guests will be entered into a drawing to win a Propane Gas Grill. 

Café on the Green, Danbury: Café on the Green in Danbury will offer a prix fixe 4 course meal for $50 per person in honor of Fathers.  Entrée options include filet mignon, lobster, grilled salmon, and more. 

Essex Steam Train, Essex: Treat Fathers to a picture-perfect dinner aboard the Essex Clipper Dinner Train or take dad out for a 2 1/2 hour Train and Boat excursion along the Connecticut River and enjoy some quality family time.  Free on-site family portraits available along with an early afternoon visit from Babe Ruth. 

Long Ridge Tavern, Stamford: Long Ridge Tavern’s Father’s Day Brunch Buffet will unfold from 11am to 2:30pm.  It costs $35 for adults and $15 for children, plus tax and tip. 

Fleming’s Steakhouse, Hartford: At Fleming’s, Father’s Day is a weekend-long celebration.  From June 14-16, dine on a three-course prix fixe dinner featuring a 35 oz. Prime Tomahawk. For a drink as strong as he is, enjoy a premium bourbon tasting experience of Maker’s Mark, Basil Hayden's and Knob Creek.  They’ll open at 10am on 6/16. 

Lyman Orchards, Middlefield: Bring Dad to Lyman Orchards for a mouth-watering barbecue picnic under the Apple Barrel tent. The picnic features traditional BBQ fare like Applewood Smoked pulled pork, BBQ beef brisket, barbecued chicken, burgers, hotdogs, sausages and more. 

J. Gilbert’s, Glastonbury: J.  Gilbert’s promises tasty Father’s Day specials.  You can make your reservations online. 

Riverview Bistro, Stratford: Along with beautiful views of the Housatonic, Riverview Bistro in Stratford will serve up Father’s Day specials on Sunday June 16.  Call 203-690-1616 to reserve. 

Wakeman Town Farm, Westport: On Sunday June 16, head to the 2nd annual Beer Garden at the Farm!  With frosty beer on tap by New Belgium Brewing and low and slow BBQ from Bobby Q’s, this fun family friendly event will feature live music, lawn games and artisan vendors.  Stop by from 12-5pm. 

Priam Vineyards, Colchester: Treat your "Special Guy" to a delicious, fun, relaxing barbecue lunch at Priam Vineyards. Gourmet Galley Catering will be grilling a gourmet, barbecue lunch fresh onsite for Father’s Day, with an assortment of sides and fixings. 

Who’s Your Daddy? Grilling Competition, New Milford: For the first time ever, Harrybrooke Park in New Milford is hosting a grilling competition, presented by House of Warmth, for the Dads on their day.  Don't grill? Come eat!  Sample the greatest the community has to offer. 

Maple View Farm, Granby: Maple View Farm invites you to “Father’s Day at the Brewery.”  They’ll even let you buy farm fresh sausage and cook it up on their grills as you play on the farm. 

A Villa Louisa, Bolton: A Villa Louisa invites you to a Father’s Day THEMED buffet!  The first seating is from 10:30am-12:30pm and the second runs from 12:45pm-2:45pm.  Feast on all you can eat BBQ. 

Anthony’s Ocean View, New Haven: Treat Dad to a buffet, including roasted pig, steak, chicken, veal, pasta, desserts, beer, wine, and more.  There will also be live music from live music from Timmy Maia. 

Labyrinth Brewing Company, Manchester: Thomas' Smokey Pit Stop is returning to the brewery and serving up some tasty BBQ and soul food to honor Dad on Sunday 6/16.  Join them from 12-6pm. 

Hopkins Vineyard, Warren: Hopkins Vineyard and The Clambaking Company are teaming up to hosts a BBQ Barrel Tasting for Father's Day.  From 12-5pm, Join them for wine and barrel samples with live music by Sweet Surrender.  Burgers, skewers, pulled pork, and  lobster rolls will be available for purchase.

These Guys Brewing Company, Norwich: These Guys Brewing Company in Norwich presents a Father’s Day Beer Dinner on Sunday June 16.  The event will have 4 courses of cheese, pot pies, surf and turf, and dessert, all paired with a craft beer from different CT breweries.  Limited to 24 seats.
