45+ Restaurants, Bars & Events for St. Patrick’s Day in CT: 2020 Edition

St. Patrick’s Day arrives on Tuesday March 17, and Connecticut bars and restaurants have specials that will have you Dublin over with glee!  Some spots aren’t even limiting the holiday to a day.  The Tasty Yolk serves up its “Corny Yolk” breakfast sandwich for the entire month of March and at pubs like O’Neill’s the celebration spans the whole weekend.  So get out your green and be ready to sham-rock and roll!  These 50+ places invite you to Irish breakfasts, concerts, pub crawls, and more.

O’Neill’s, South Norwalk

O’Neill’s in Norwalk is THE place to go for St. Patrick’s Day!  Start off the weekend with the Norwalk St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 14.  The pub will have live music, entertainment, and a St. Baldrick’s head shaving at 3pm.  On Sunday March 15 from 3-11pm, O’Neill’s hosts a family style St Patrick's celebration with Irish dancing, Bagpipes, Live Music, and fun!  Return on St. Patrick’s Day itself- March 17.  The Guinness starts flowing at 7am and the day is packed with Irish entertainment! 

Playwright’s Irish Pub, Hamden

Get out your green and head to this authentic Irish pub and banquet facility.  Join them from March 15-17 for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.

Old Heidelburg, New Haven- Old Heidelberg is opening early at 11 a.m. on March 15th in celebration of St. Patrick's Day. Old Heidelberg is located just steps away from the New Haven St. Patrick's Day Parade route, a perfect addition to your festivities.  Tickets are available for $10/person, and entry can also be paid at the door. Enjoy a complimentary beer and a raffle ticket.

Bear’s Smokehouse, New Haven- Have a BBQ Breakfast and get shuttled around New Haven safely on Sunday March 15!  Shuttle rides begin at 11am and will run until 5:30pm.  A $35 ticket includes Free parking @ Bear's Smokehouse, breakfast buffet, 1 beer, and shuttle rides to and from the parade.  A $25 ticket includes breakfast buffet & 1 beer.  Buffet starts at 10am.

JP Dempsey’s, New Haven- On Sunday March 15, the same as the New Haven parade, they are open from 10am-1am with $5 Jameson shots, $3 Temple Irish Whiskey, and $5 Guinness.

Republic at The Linden, Hartford- On Saturday 3/14, they’re opening early on parade day with a special holiday menu with $4 Guinness, $6 cocktails, $6 wines, and Irish inspired food specials.  Join them on the heated outdoor patio for a special buffet.  Space is limited so reserve in advance.

Stew Leonard’s Wine & Spirits- On Saturday 3/14, head down for a FREE all day Luck of The Irish All Day Spirits Tasting.

Half Full Brewery, Stamford- On Sunday March 15, they’ll be making a pop-up Patio Pub with a big green tap truck!  Beers start pouring at 10am.

Harbor Point Shamrock Stroll, Stamford- Now in its 8th year, join this 5K fun run through Harbor Point from 10am – 11am on Sunday, March 15th in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day.

Café Nine, New Haven- Attend a St. Patty’s party with live music by Larry Kirwan.

The Hops Company ( Derby) On 3/15 Post Parade Party with the Highland Rovers. On 3/17 Paddy starts at 3:00pm. Live music all night from Bagpipers and The Ale Hounds Irish Band. Green beer & Irish beers on tap, shotskis, jello shots and pitcher specials. Zupps will be serving up corned beef and cabbage as a classic dish and as aPizza! Let’s get shammrocked.

Sweets On Main, Branford- On March 9, Join them for a BYOB St. Patty’s Day themed Piñata Cake decorating class! You will frost and decorate a 3 layer 6 inch cake.

Woodbury Brewing Company, Woodbury- Come celebrate St. Patrick's Day, Tuesday, March 17th, at the Woodbury Brewing Company with live music from Celtica - Pipes Rock!  They will be open early with plenty of food and drink specials. Music starts at 8:00PM.

Arooga’s, Shelton- On Monday 3/16, they’ll host a family-friendly party.  Kid's eat free and they can make their own shamrock sundae, pose in a photo booth, and more.

Skyscraper Sandwich Truck-If you want in on that gorgeous corned beef sandwich (seen above) you can find this truck at Labyrinth Brewing Company's St. Patty’s Bash 3/14, Brewery Legitimus 3/15, and Urban Lodge Brewery (live music) 3/17.

Still River Grill & Bar, Milford- Are you feeling lucky?  Come enjoy the evening creating a St.Patricks Day craft. Eat, drink, socialize and nurture your artistic side on 3/11.

Shebeen Brewing Company, Wolcott- On Friday March 13th, celebrate Saint Patrick's Day and help a great cause! Tickets are $45 and include admission to a performance by The Kerry Boys, a corned beef and cabbage dinner, and open tap from 6pm-9pm. Proceeds go to support Meals on Wheels of Western Connecticut. A raffle will also be held.

Pinstripes, Norwalk- On Saturday 3/14, kick off your Saturday morning with Cookie Decorating for Saint Patrick's Day! Tickets are just $15 and include a complimentary kids meal off of the kids menu. 

Artisanal Burger Company, Manchester- They are counting down to St. Patrick’s Day with a Whiskey Dinner on 3/11.

These Guys Brewing Co, Norwich- Create Irish beer mugs on Sunday March 15.  Tickets are $30 per person.

St. Clement’s Castle, Portland- Be Irish for a day and enjoy ALL you can eat Corned Beef and Cabbage, soda bread and assorted scones, and Bread Pudding with a Chef's special Rum Drizzle on March 15.

Tigin Irish Pub, Stamford- On Saturday March 14, the pub opens at 7:30am for a day of “Lepre-con” with a tent outside and a DJ.  On St. Patrick’s Day itself, the pub opens at 9am and the tent opens at 12pm.

Elicit Brewing Co., Manchester - March 17th, Elicit will host an All Day St. Patrick's Day Party (opening at 11:30am) w/ Manchester Pipe Band playing at 5pm; Beer & Drink Specials (available 3/17 only); Specialty food items like Corned Beef Egg Rolls / Corned Beef Sandwiches / Corned Beef Pizza (available 3/13 - 3/17)

Wadsworth Atheneum Museum, Hartford- Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a buffet brunch in the Untitled Bistro and live jazz by The Executive Session. Stony Creek Brewery, Branford- Join them on Saturday, March 7th for the second annual Shenanigan’s Irish Festival.  The day will be filled with live music, games, dancing, food, and of course… beer.  $20 includes entry to the celebration, your first beer, and a commemorative stein. The Tasty Yolk, Bridgeport- The March special is inspired by St. Patty’s Day!  The Corny Yolk- 2 eggs, Swiss, corned beef, sauerkraut, & homemade million island dressing- is available at the NEW storefront or 3 food trucks.

Shamrocked Pub Crawl, Foxwoods- On Sunday March 15, Foxwoods Casino’s restaurants and bars will be serving food and drink specials inspired by the luck of the Irish.  The party kicks off at 1PM at the The Celebration Zone on the Great Cedar Concourse and culminates at 5PM with the prize raffle at Centrale Fox Tower.  21+.

Stew Leonard’s, Newington- On March 11, kids ages 6-12 can celebrate the luck of the Irish by preparing homemade Shephard's pie, Irish soda bread bites, and decorate a festive cupcake.

St. Clements Castle & Marina, Portland- Their celebration on Sunday March 15 will feature all you can eat corned beef & cabbage, irish soda bread, green beer, a cash bar, and more.  Tickets are $25.95 plus tax.

The Hidden Still, Ellington- Celebrate St. Patrick’s day with the Blaneys on 3/17! Two full shows from 2-5pm, and 6-9pm. Corned beef and other Irish goodness will be on the menu at the Hidden Still.

Todd English’s Tuscany, Mohegan Sun- They’re serving up a delicious Irish-inspired special of House-made Kobe corned beef, Guinness risotto, honey glazed carrots, and cabbage béchamel for $34.
