Celebrate Dad! Father's Day Specials Across Connecticut: (2020 Edition)

It’s hard to believe it’s June- and Father’s Day is right around the corner! Although restaurants have been given the green-light to resume indoor dining on June 17th, many of Connecticut’s eateries and caterers are still offering delicious takeout, curbside, and delivery options for Dad. Here is a guide to some of the Father’s Day specials that you can find across the state.

AMG Catering, Wilton

AMG Catering and Events is offering very “manly “curbside family meals for Father’s Day. Plan your backyard celebration with AMG and make Dad very happy on his special day. Place your orders by June 17 for their special Father’s Day menu, which includes dishes like pulled pork on brioche buns, bacon wrapped salmon, and penne pasta. Curbside pickup and delivery available.

TIFFANY JULIET HOUSE - Glastonbury

They are featuring two options for Father's Day Brunch this year! Brunch includes treats like a variety of scones, omelets to order, stuffed strawberry ricotta French brioche toast, apple-wood smoked bacon, home fried potatoes, sweet treats, and more! Three seatings [8:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m. & 1:00 p.m.] for an "outdoor" Plated Brunch with a tent for shade. The menu is prix fixe. $34.95/per person (minimum 2 guests). BYOB for mimosas, bloody Mary's & wine. Also, if you prefer to dine at home: a "to go" curbside pick-up menu to celebrate Dads & Grads from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. $85./ for Brunch + tax (serves 4); they have options for additional servings. Popover Bistro & Bakery, Simsbury

The Popover Bistro & Bakery is collaborating with two other businesses in their complex to bring a complete Father's Day dinner/drink and gift package! The Father's Day box will include a choice of a meal to cook on the BBQ: standards box with burgers and dogs, a pulled pork box and a steak box. Then you pick the alcohol set from Wine, Etc : rum, bourbon, craft beers, gin and tonic, Bloody Mary. And lastly, a great gift from Ava Grace Boutique: Brumate Hopsulator, USB lighter, 10 in 1 tool set, books and even a Spongele shower gel /scrubber for men. Capital Grille, Stamford- The Capital Grille is offering a three-course family-style Father’s Day dinner for takeout, featuring a Whole Roasted Rack of Ribeye served alongside Grilled Asparagus, Mashed Potatoes, a freshly baked Cheesecake and a jar of Housemade Steak Sauce. Dinner starts at $135 for two and $245 for families of four. Pre-order available while quantities last. The restaurant is also offering a selection of hand-carved uncooked steaks to be prepared at home. Carbone’s Kitchen, Bloomfield and Carbone’s Prime, Rocky Hill- Their “Backyard Burger Kit” takeout package in celebration of Father’s Day serves up to six people for $168 + tax. Packages must be pre-ordered by Thursday, June 18 at 2pm and will be available for curbside pick-up on Saturday, June 20 between 12pm-3pm.

Dish ‘n Dat, Canton- On Father’s Day, they’ll serve brunch outside starting at 9am. Takeout will also be available all day.

Max Chef to Farm- Sunday, June 21st at Rosedale Farms and Vineyards, they will be hosting a spaced out and socially distanced version of a traditional New England Lobster Bake, featuring Chef Steve Michalewicz of Max Catering and Events. This event has two seating's - choose a 12:00 PM or 2:30 PM reservation time at checkout. The cost for adults is $75 (inclusive of all fees).

Millwrights, Simsbury- Join them from 11am-3pm for Father’s Day Brunch or carry out a Ribs Dinner or Fried Chicken Dinner

The New England Pasta Company, Avon- Father’s Day takeout menu

Pomona Pete’s, Unionville- Open from 12 to 8 with patio seating as well as a green area on Farmington river with picnic tables. Also open for takeout.

Sorella, Hartford- The Backyard BBQ Kit has everything you need to let Dad do his thing. Buffalo chicken dip with pizza crisps and market vegetables, 8 oz. house ground Angus burgers, natural casing Hummel hot dogs, B&B pickles, buns, cheese, LTO, Big C's potato salad, Kale slaw, Mexican street corn on the cob, strawberry shortcake and sliced watermelon.
