To celebrate, we asked Chef Arturo-Franco Camacho of Shell & Bones Oyster Bar and Grill in New Haven to send over one his favorite lobster-y recipes. Whip up some of these Lobster Cakes and celebrate the revered Day of Lobster. Enjoy!Lobster CakesExecutive Chef Arturo-Franco CamachoShell & Bones Oyster Bar and Grill, New Haven Makes 10 pattiesIngredients:Seafood2 lbs. lobster meatProduce1 handful of parsley freshRefrigerated2 fresh eggsCondiments1 tsp Dijon mustard½ cup of Mayo¼ tsp Worcestershire SauceBaking & Spices3 grinds Black Pepper1 tsp Kosher SaltOils & Vinegar2 tbsp vegetable oilBread & Baked Goods½ cup breadcrumbs, plainDairy2 tbsp unsalted butterDirections:Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. In a mixing bowl, blend together all the ingredients.Scoop out 10 cakes, shape into patties and coat with bread crumbs. Sauté lobster cakes in vegetable oil on one side. Flip over, add butter and finish cooking in oven for 5 minutes. Serve with your favorite sauce.
