NYC's Beloved Rosa Mexicano Announces Opening in West Hartford October 26

Rosa Mexicano announces the official opening on October 26 of its newest location in West Hartford, Connecticut. Located at 51 Isham Road, opposite the Cheesecake Factory, this 6,000 square-foot restaurant in Blue Back Square, an outdoor mixed-use downtown destination, will offer guests an elevated fiesta experience including signature menu items like the famed tableside guacamole preparation, margaritas that were named best in New York City, as well as a creative cocktail program. In addition, the restaurant in West Hartford will feature outdoor dining with an inviting patio.

“In 1984, our founding chef, Josefina Howard, opened the first Rosa Mexicano restaurant in a small New York City neighborhood and won over loyal fans with her authentic Mexican cuisine, creative bar and spirits program, and signature warm hospitality,” said Rosa Mexicano CEO Jim Dunn. “We are thrilled to be joining the West Hartford community at Blue Back Square as we continue to introduce a fresh take on Mexican food, authentic Mexican heritage, and culinary techniques through new location openings.”

The new restaurant, helmed by VP of Culinary Manuel Trevino, features design elements familiar to fans of the brand aimed at transporting guests on a unique culinary experience. There are various seating areas, including a total seating for 276, a 40-person bar, a private dining room, and an outdoor dining experience with an inviting enclosed patio, thereby making it the largest bar in any Rosa Mexicano around the country.

The menu offers a contemporary interpretation of authentic Mexican cuisine featuring beloved classics and innovative, sophisticated dishes that pay tribute to Mexico's richly varied culinary regions. Rosa Mexicano's renowned beverage program boasts over 100 varieties of tequila and agave-based spirits – and of course, the restaurant's signature frozen pomegranate margarita and other mouthwatering cocktails.
