Sally's Apizza Opening in Fairfield October 2022!

The iconic New Haven pizza spot, Sally’s Apizza is getting ready to open the doors at their NEW LOCATION IN FAIRFIELD next month!!!! This will be their third location in Connecticut, the 2nd of which opened last year in Stamford.

The restaurant will be located in the Trademark building at 665 Commerce Drive, in the space formerly occupied by Barbacoa Smoke House

Founded by Salvatore "Sally" Consiglio in 1938, Sally's is known for its signature tomato sauce and chewy, crispy, charred crust, according to a Sally's news release distributed at the time of the Stamford opening. Consiglio developed a dough formula that worked with a specific coal-fired oven design.

"He worked on different methods to shred the mozzarella and special techniques to apply the toppings," Consiglio's son, Bob Consiglio, said in a news release.

The new locations are part of Sally’s recent expansion. Last month Sally’s started shipping its pizza nationwide through a partnership with Goldbelly.
