Delamar Hotels Launches DeLaLuxe Luxury Yachting Experiences

Last week we had the opportunity to spend a blissful afternoon on the Saugatuck River. On behalf of our CTBites team, I’ll say that it was an honor to join our friends from the Delamar Hotels to experience their brand new Luxury Yachting program curated for hotel guests, and available to residents of Greenwich, Westport, Southport and surrounding communities. 

We set sail in the stunning Angelique, a rare custom yacht docked in Westport. Boat lovers and aficionados will immediately fall in love with her. She’s exquisitely beautiful, supremely stately, stable and quiet, with the grace of a ballerina as she skims the waters. She is the only one of her kind here in the States. Angelique was designed to navigate the rivers and canals of the United Kingdom and The Netherlands. She is perfectly at home sailing along the shoreline of the  Saugatuck and Long Island Sound.

Our little adventure was indeed sublime.  To complement our sail we were treated to a lovely wine selection, including a delicious rosé under the La Plage label. We also enjoyed some delightful items curated by Chef Kieffer from their yacht inspired menu which included assorted tea sandwiches and sweet bites. 

Enjoy a nice afternoon on the water in style with your close girlfriends, or arrange for a romantic evening to end all romantic evenings! These luxury experiences are a perfect way to celebrate a special occasion such as a milestone Birthday or Anniversary. Charter prices begin at $400 with additional time on the water, food and beverage packages available as add-ons. 

The three tiers include the Summer Package, The Executive Package and the Grand Reserve. Each features select Champagnes, wines, cocktails and bottled water, sparkling and/or still. Wine and liquor can also be purchased a la carte. With so many options available, this program caters to just about everyone.

Guests will enjoy a generous selection of food offerings. For the morning after a wedding or anniversary the guests will enjoy the Breakfast Pastry Platter, Fresh Strawberries and Crème Fraiche. For daytime and evening hours assorted Stationary Hors d’Oeuvres, Tea Sandwiches and Sweet Bites, assorted Plateaux and Boards and Petrosian Caviar are available. For those wanting to dine at L’escale, La Plage or Artisan afterwards, you can arrange for lunch or dinner reservations after your excursion. Each unique yacht can accommodate up to 6 guests.

Looking for something indulgent? Why not treat yourself to a staycation at the Delamar Southport. Book your DeLaLuxe Package, and you’ll have the opportunity to ride in a vintage or modern collector car from founder Charles Mallory’s personal car collection. You’ll be chauffeured from the Delamar Southport to the boat slip. You’ll then board the Angelique and sail down Saugatuck River with their private label champagne, dock at the Inn at Longshore and meet a La Plage hostess who will escort you to your table for a 5 course chef's tasting meal. After dinner you will then be chauffeured back to the hotel.
