Miracle Bar & Holiday Themed Pop-Ups Launching In CT for 2024 Season
Connecticut is gearing up for the holidays with both the long running Miracle Christmas pop-up cocktail bar opening at three Connecticut bars, as well “Joy-ah for the Holidays! A Winter Wonderland” and “Ordinary’s Spirits of Christmas Past”, in New Haven. Make sure you hit up all of these as each has uniquely kitschy holiday décor, signature holiday themed cocktails, nibbles, and all the cheer and vibes you could possibly want or need.
Miracle Bar Pop-Up CT Locations
For those unfamiliar with Miracle Bar, this beloved Christmas themed holiday pop-up cocktail bar launched in 2014 in New York City, will continue spreading holiday cheer this year with over 100 locations around the world. Miracle is sure to get even the grouchiest grinch in the holiday spirit. Grab your ugly Christmas sweater and head to their following 3 CT locations featuring over the top holiday decor, holiday cocktails and oh so much more:

Miracle at Riley’s By The Seawall, Stratford
Riley's by the Seawall launches their pop-up on Friday Nov 15th. This is their 4th year, and the decor at this spot is next level! Reservations for November open up online on Monday 10/28. December Reservations open up online on Monday 11/11. They have limited availability for groups of 8 or larger by sending an email to miracleatrileys@gmail.com
Miracle at Perfusion, Newtown
Miracle will run November 19th-January 4th with a special menu (details TK), and themed cocktails including: a Snowball Old Fashioned, the Christmasaurus, and the Krampus, each with signature Miracle glassware. Follow them on Instagram for additional information.
Miracle at The Hopknot, Portland
Miracle will run here from Nov 20- Dec 29th Reservations can be made by calling (860)807-3341. Get excited for all the Miracle drinks plus a signature Mexican hot coffee cocktail, alongside a special holiday food menu- including a Christmas cookie platter and unique stuffed pretzels like our Holiday Dip Stuffed Pretzel. Holiday music and movies will be playing. They are also debuting an interactive boozy advent calendar as well as a gingerbread house building competition. Plus their annual toy drive is on December 11th to support our local families.
GIOIA, New Haven
Gioia has already launched their “Joy-ah for the Holidays! This Winter Wonderland” is held in their rooftop space, heated and enclosed for the cooler weather, and transformed into a winter wonderland through December 22. The space will feature holiday decorations everywhere the eye can spy, including holiday lights, wreaths, Christmas trees, ornaments, inflatables, garland and more. The special pop-up food and beverage menu will include White Christmas Mojito, Mule Ride, Peppermintini and Santa’s Cookie Old Fashioned cocktails, and Fish and Chips, Ossobuco Milanese and Mac and Cheese, among other items.
This holiday celebration will also incorporate the season of giving. In November, Woodbridge Animal Control will receive $5 for every Bumbu Rum cocktail sold, and the restaurant will be collecting food and toy donations for the shelter. In December, Yale Children’s Hospital will receive $5 for every McQueen and Violent Fog Gin Cocktail sold, as well as collecting toy donations from December 5-22 for the hospital. A family cookie decorating event on December 8, and family gingerbread house event on December 15 (details TBA) will raise further funds.
“Joy-ah for the Holidays! A Winter Wonderland” will be open Thursday from 4-9 pm, Friday from 4-10 pm, Saturday from 12 pm-10 pm, and Sunday from 12 pm-8 pm. Tables and bar seating will be available on a walk-in basis only
Ordinary, New Haven
Ordinary, New Haven’s oldest tavern, will be celebrating the holidays with “Ordinary’s Spirits of Christmas Past” activation. Starting on Tuesday, November 5, this year’s celebration will offer a playful homage to Scrooge, including spook components to the pop-up food and beverage menu, and skeletons and ghosts, all intertwined with holiday lights, trees and festive decorations. The activation will run through December 31.
The special pop-up cocktail menu includes: Holiday classics, spirit-forward cocktails with a seasonal twist, such as Old Man Winter Fashioned, Festivus Sazerac and Krampus in Manhattan. We are also loving the Candy Bar menu, featuring options for the discerning sweet tooth, including Brandied Nog, Switch Cider, Midnight Sleighride and Stocking Stuffer. Seasonal pop-up food menu includes new additions such as: Garlic Butter Candles (Confit Shallot, Focaccia), a Thanksgiving Sandwich (with Turkey, Cranberry, Stuffing), Roast Pork Sandwich (with Braised Collards and Provolone), and Banana Bread Skulls.
In November, Ordinary will donate a portion of every “Tinsel Kittens & Stocking Puppies” cocktail that sells (Bumbu Rom, Orgeat, Orange Juice, Liberation Bitters) to the Woodbridge Animal Control, well as collecting food and toy donations for the shelter. In December, a special cocktail (TBA) will benefit Yale Children’s Hospital, and Ordinary will be collecting toy donations from December 5-22 for the hospital.
