The Tasty Yolk Opens 3rd Location in Branford: Ultimate Breakfast & Lunch Sandwiches

The uber popular Tasty Yolk has opened their third third location in Branford this week at 539 Main Street. For those not yet familiar with The Tasty Yolk experience, Chef Eric Felitto (Food Network Chopped Champion), his wife Allison McHale, and partner, Michael Bertanza, have created the gold standard for to-go breakfast and lunch comfort food, primarily sandwiches and wraps (and then there is that loaded potato and the buttermilk pancakes with citrus mascarpone and crumbled bacon…drool). These are not just ANY Bacon, Egg & Cheese sammies.

“We continue to want to push our limits and serve our food which we have deep roots and passion for to as many people as possible. We are very excited to be in Branford now and are thrilled we can bring something special to the people of the town,” says co-owner and Chef Eric Felitto

The Branford location will be open from Monday - Sunday (7am-2pm), and they plan to open for dinner in early 2025.

Eric has serious culinary chops and every ingredient from the brisket in THE BANKER (brisket, 2 eggs, spicy aioli, swiss), to the roasted pork shoulder in THE CUBANO are all made in house daily, and are just freakin delicious. Don’t even get me started on the MOTHER CLUCKER, my family’s mandatory Sunday starter with buttermilk fried chicken breast, pickled slaw, Korean bbq sauce, or THE TASTY, a classic with craft Chorizo, eggs, and cheddar. The icing on the pancakes is the fact that their breakfast sandwiches all fall in the $5-$9 range and there is nothing on their breakfast or lunch menu over $13. This is very well executed food, at a very reasonable price point…a recipe for success.
