Mystic, CT is about to witness a revival of the cocktail party scene like never before with two exciting event series spanning from May to September.

At The Port of Call, step back in time and experience the glamor, nostalgia, and intrigue of bygone eras with Lost In Time. Throughout the year, The Port of Call will host themed evenings from the 1910s to the 2000s, each accompanied by specially crafted food and cocktail menus, ensuring a unique experience every time.

Meanwhile, aboard the Sabino at The Mystic Seaport, The Shipwright’s Daughter presents The Rumrunner Series, inspired by the legendary rumrunner Bill McCoy, known as "The Real McCoy" during the Prohibition era. Guests can sail into the sunset on these exclusive cocktail parties, enjoying gourmet fare and premium cocktails featuring The Real McCoy Rum amidst the timeless beauty of Mystic's waters.

A Century of Cocktail Parties: The Port of Call Introduces 'Lost In Time' Series

The Port of Call in Mystic unveils Lost In Time, a new series that celebrates a century of cocktail parties. 

Each journey through time will include a taste of the era's culinary delights, curated by James Beard nominee Chef Renee Touponce. The May event will feature timeless favorites such as Deviled Eggs, Stuffed Mushrooms, Shrimp Cocktail, Ribbon Sandwiches, Waldorf Salad, and Oysters Rockefeller.

Continuing the Lost in Time concept throughout the year are the following Monday evening dates and themes for Port upstairs and below deck at Dive, each with a curated food and cocktail menu:

  • June 30th: 1930s - 1940s: Port: Savoy Hotel | Dive: Don’s Beachcomber Café

  • July 14th: 1950s - 1960s: Port: Copacabana |Dive: Summer of Love

  • August 18th: 1970s - 1980s; Port: Studio 54 | Dive: Synthwave 80’s “House Party”

  • September 8: 1990s - 2000s: Port: Cocktail Renaissance (Milk & Honey) | Dive: Dawn of Hip Hop on Vinyl

Shipwright’s at Sea: The Rumrunner Dinner Series

Step aboard the Sabino, a historic ship at The Mystic Seaport, and embark on a cocktail party at sea with The Shipwright’s Daughter’s Rumrunner Dinners, inspired by the legendary rumrunner, Bill McCoy, who gained fame during the Prohibition era for his commitment to providing unadulterated, high-quality liquor, earning him the nickname "The Real McCoy." 

These exclusive events are an opportunity to sail into the sunset, savoring gourmet fare by James Beard nominee David Standridge and premium cocktails amidst the timeless beauty of Mystic's waters.
