Hartford Yard Goats 2025 Food Lineup: Game On!!
The bad news (or good? You tell us): The “Float Your Goat,” featuring a ¼ pound all-beef dog with peppers, onions, bacon and brown mustard submerged in a glass of goat milk, was a long-game April Fool by the Hartford Yard Goats’ front office. The stunt dog, posted to the minor league team’s social media accounts on March 27, captured national media attention and more than a few disgusted reactions.
The Yard Goats management confirmed the prank as the team unveiled the real menu debuts for the 2025 season on April 2, two days ahead of Dunkin’ Park’s opening day Friday.
“We’re not going to be dipping hot dogs with peppers and onions into goat milk,” sponsorship sales manager Conor Geary said, acknowledging the “fun little hoax.”
But, he noted, “every year, as you know, and as our fans know, we work very hard to make things bigger, better, more fun, tastier, more extreme and more crazy.”
Here’s a look at some of the new decadent stadium snacks, as the Hartford Yard Goats celebrate the team’s 10th anniversary in the city.
Goat Trough Fries: The loaded fries are packaged in the same paper container as the park’s two-foot-long hot dogs, covered in spicy pulled chicken, cheddar cheese, pico de gallo and parsley.
Meatloaf donut sandwich: With Dunkin’ as the park’s sponsor, the team’s catering operations have long used its doughnuts as starring ingredients in its specialty food items. This year, a glazed doughnut is a “bun” for a slab of meatloaf topped with brown gravy, cheddar cheese and fried onions. A spicy chicken sandwich on a glazed doughnut also returns.
Jalapeño popper grilled cheese: Served on regular bread instead of a doughnut base, the sandwich is stuffed with jalapeño poppers and topped with Funyuns.
Kimchi footlong dog: The 12-inch dog features Asian flavors, including kimchi slaw and Japanese mayonnaise.
Bacon barbecue footlong dog: The hot dog is topped with sweet and savory bacon marmalade.
Loaded baked potatoes: Executive chef Joe Bartlett said he hoped to give The Big E “a run for its money” with the park’s new baked potatoes, in broccoli cheddar or chili cheese varieties.
Buffalo cauliflower: A new vegetarian item for guests that don’t eat meat.
The park concessions also offer Impossible burgers and veggie burgers, and the Bear’s Smokehouse barbecue stand sells Impossible meatloaf.
