What makes her stand out is her commitment to teaching the kids the value of using local ingredients. Cecily spearheads our Gillespie Center monthly meal program where we, WFM, purchase food from our market for to kids prepare and serve the meal to our neighbors in need. She will be the guest chef at The Westport Farmers' Market on May 21st. You can find her recipe for Grilled Scallion, Herb & Goat Cheese Vinaigrette. Grilled Scallion, Herb & Goat Cheese Vinaigrette 2 cups soft goat cheese 1 cup buttermilk, homemade or store bought 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar ¼ cup chopped (grilled to a light char) scallions ¼ cup chopped flat leaf Italian parsley leaves 1 Tbsp chopped fresh dill leaves 1 Tbsp minced fresh shallot 2 tsp chopped fresh oregano leaves 2 tsp chopped fresh thyme leaves Add all ingredients to a food processor or use an immersion blender to blend until easily pourable. Season with your salt of choice and freshly ground black pepper. Pour over the salad, toss to coat evenly, serve immediately. Yield: 3 ½ cups
