Napa & Company has announced the schedule for its popular Fall Wine Class Series.  It kicks off on Monday October 10 with a “Fall Wine & Food Pairing Guide.”  It costs $45 per person, plus tax and tip.  Classes start at 6:30pm and typically include 6 wines paired with 3 small plates. 

On Wednesday October 12, Chef Prasad and INDIA New Canaan will host Black Hog Brewing Company for a 5 course beer dinner.  Tom Sobocinsk, the brewery owner, will guide you through the beers and how they complement the dishes.  7-9pm and costs $60 per person, plus tax and tip.  

Ghost Tour meets pub crawl on Wednesday October 12.  “Pints 2 Poltergeists” includes a ghost tour of Mystic, CT, 3 stops for a beer along the way, and take home treats from Two Roads Brewery.  It costs $35 per person.  

The New London Food Stroll takes place on Wednesday October 12 from 5:30-8:30pm.  A $30 ticket gives you the opportunity to stroll through downtown sampling bite size samples and drinks from popular restaurants in the area.  There will be live entertainment as well.  

The Spread in Sono will host a "Save The Tatas" breast cancer fundraiser Oct 13th. Drinks, raffles, live music and more! Support the cure.

The Griswold Inn has announced an autumn wine series.  On Thursday October 13, try an assortment of Cabernet Sauvignons from Alexander Valley.  It starts at 5:45pm and costs $18 per person.  Reservations are required.  Please call 860.767.1776.

The 4th Annual WeHa Whiskey Festival returns on Saturday October 15 from 6-9pm.  This year, it takes place at the Hartford Golf Club.  There will be over 200 bourbons and scotches as well as cigars, food, a “restaurant battle,” and a raffle.  Tickets start at $40.  

Something sweet is coming to Woodbury, CT on Saturday October 15.  CT NOFA presents a guided tasting of Connecticut honeys with Connecticut beekeeper, author and honey sommelier Marina Marchese.  It lasts from 2:30-4:30pm.  Tickets are $25 in advance or $35 at the door with proceeds going to CT NOFA. 

The 2nd Annual Crazy Brew Bash takes place at the Mount Southington Ski Area on Saturday October 15.  From 12-4pm, participants can enjoy unlimited samples of beer, a corn hole tournament, entertainment, raffles, food vendors, and more.  VIP tickets entitle people to entry at 11am. 

The 5th Annual Stamford Health, Health Wellness & Sports Expo 2016 presented by WABC-TV returns to Chelsea Piers in Stamford this weekend.  On Saturday, October 15 from 10am-5pm and Sunday October 16 from 11am-4pm, visit them for over 100 raffle prizes, healthy holiday shopping opportunities, and a sneak peek at the state-of-the-art healthcare at the new Stamford Hospital. 

The Harvest Bounty Brewfest is celebrating its 10 year anniversary!  On Saturday October 15, the Litchfield Community Center will have 15-20 breweries, live bands, and local foods. 

It’s Bottomless Brunch at Plan B in Fairfield!  Partake in bottomless mimosas and bourbon sours for $15.  Brunch takes place on Sundays from 10am-2pm. 

Art meets food at Sarah’s Wine Bar on Sunday October 16 from 3-5pm.  Malu Tan will present colorscapes over light snacks and a cash bar.   

Fire Engine Pizza in Bridgeport now serves brunch!  Join them on Sundays from 10am-2:30pm for special brunch dishes like Burrata French Toast, the Anti-oxidant Bowl, Sirloin & Eggs, Poached Eggs & Polenta, and more.  There are also featured brunch cocktails.

Fairfield and Greenwich Cheese Company has announced that October is American Cheese Month.  All month long, they will have special events.  Join them on Saturday October 15 between 1 and 4pm to spend time with Sam Hooper of Vermont Creamery.

The New Britain Museum of American Art will have its fall fundraiser, The Art of Wine & Food, on Thursday, October 13, 2016. The event begins at 6 p.m. and features 45 restaurants, wineries, and distilleries. Restaurants include popular places like Millwrights, INDIA, Esca Restaurant & Wine Bar, Cake by Franck, and more.  Proceeds from The Art of Wine & Food support the Museum’s exhibits and programs.  http://artofwineandfood.org
