21 CT Restaurants Open for Christmas Eve & Christmas 2016

Over the river and through the woods… to delicious restaurants we go!  From New Canaan to Essex to Mohegan Sun, some of Connecticut’s best restaurants are hosting holiday festivities on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day itself.  Be sure to make your reservations early… seats fill up quickly!

1. Fresh Salt at Saybrook Point, Saybrook: On Saturday December 24, guests can enjoy holiday inspired dishes like Mascarpone-Butternut Ravioli, Ricotta Meatballs, and Srirachi-style Calamari at Fresh Salt at Saybrook Point. On Christmas Day, they will have an extensive buffet from 12-6pm.
2. Pearl at Longshore, Westport: Pearl in Westport will celebrate Christmas Eve with a Feast of the Seven Fishes dinner.
3. The Whelk, Westport: Open for Christmas Eve dinner with their regular menu and a few specials TBA.
4. Basso Cafe, Norwalk: On Christmas Eve, Basso Cafe in Norwalk will serve dishes off of its regular menu as well as some newly created dishes prepared specifically for the evening. They will be closed on Christmas Day.
5. Roger Sherman Inn, New Canaan: Open on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, they have a special menu in honor of the holiday, which features dishes like a Roasted Filet Mignon and Lobster Thermidore
6. L’escale, Greenwich: L'escale in Greenwich will celebrate the holidays with a 3-course prix fixe menu for $75. Join them on Xmas Eve from 5-10:30pm or Christmas Day from 12-7pm.
7. Capital Grille, Stamford: The Capital Grille in Stamford will be open on Christmas Eve from 12-10pm. They will close on Christmas Day.
8. Water’s Edge Resort & Spa, Westbrook: Dattilo Fine Italian at the Waters Edge Resort & Spa in Westbrook will have a Christmas Eve dinner from 5:30-10pm.
9. Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse, Mohegan Sun" Michael Jordan's 23.sports cafe in Mohegan Sun will serve a Christmas Prime Rib dinner served with mashed potatoes and asparagus for $29.
10. Gingerman, Greenwich: Special Christmas Eve menu. Start your menu with a Vermont Goat Cheese & Vegetable Crostata and end with a Warm Gala Apple Strudel with Figs... should you choose! There are a number of tasty options.
11. Cafe on the Green, Danbury: Cafe on the Green in Danbury will have a 4-course Christmas Eve prix fixe menu for $55 per person.
12. David Burke Prime, Foxwoods: David Burke Prime will be open both Christmas Eve & Christmas Day. Enjoy their a la carte dinner menu with inspired holiday specials from 4:00-9:00pm
13. elm, New Canaan: They will have a four course prix fixe Christmas Eve menu for $85 per person. They will also offer a children's menu for younger diners.
14. J House, Greenwich: J House will offer a Christmas Day Brunch. From Brioche French Toast to the J House Burger, there will be a wide range of options.
15. Cask Republic, Stamford and South Norwalk: Both Cask Republic locations will be offering special Christmas Eve prix fixe menus for $40 per person. Enjoy dishes like Stuffed Half Maine Lobster or Braised Beef Short Rib with Guinness Jus. 
16. Toto, Fairfield: Toto in Fairfield will be open Christmas Eve with specials. Please note they are closed on Christmas Day.
17. Griswold Inn, Essex: During the month of December, The Griswold Inn in Essex is supplementing its usual menu with Seasonal Game Selections.
18. Olea, New Haven: Olea in New Haven will be open on Christmas Eve with its regular menu along with holiday specials.
19. Artisan, Southport: Artisan Restaurant in Southport is open on Christmas Day. They will offer a prix fixe menu full of holiday favorites. It costs $65 for adults, $39 for young adults, and $12 for the kids' menu.
20. Kawa Ni, Westport: Open for Christmas eve dinner with their regular menu and a few specials TBA. 
21. Match, Norwalk: In addition to the regular menu, they will be offering a selection of delicious delicacies for the holidays including Peking Duck, Caviar, Kobe Style Beef, John Dory, Stone Crabs & of course Pigs in the Blanket!
