Green & Tonic Opens 5th Location in Downtown Westport w/ Juices, Smoothies & Plant-Based Food
Green & Tonic opened today in downtown Westport, bringing its own unique brand of cold-pressed juices, smoothies and plant-based food. Located at 70 Jesup Road in the nexus of Westport’s shopping district, this new grab-and-go location will offer organic cold-pressed juices, smoothies, cold brew coffee and a full plant-based menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner including acai bowls, soups, salads, savory wraps, rice bowls, snacks and chia dessert items. The store will be hosting a Grand Opening party on Thursday, June 16 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm to introduce the store and will offer complimentary food and beverages. And for those unable to make the first party, Green & Tonic will host another community party also open to the public on Thursday, June 23 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Hours are Monday – Friday 7:00am – 7:00pm, Saturday 8:00am – 6:00pm and Sunday 9:00pm – 5:00pm.

Before Green & Tonic, Jeffrey and Cai Pandolfino started Plum Pure Foods & Catering in Cos Cob, building it into a thriving operation. After selling Plum, the couple opened Green & Tonic in Cos Cob in 2011, eventually adding locations in Greenwich, Darien and New Canaan. Green & Tonic's focus on serving pure health food -- green drinks, smoothies, grains, vegan soups and sandwiches -- started with the Pandolfinos' own conversion about nutrition-conscious eating. "We want people to feel better," says Co-Founder/Owner, Cai Pandolfino said. "Food should be like medicine. I've really spent the last several years focusing on exercise and eating the right kind of foods. It's been a fun ride so far. I think there’s a huge need for this in Connecticut. With the opening of their fifth store in Westport, it’s an easy spot for the post-work out crowd and Main Street shoppers alike. The Pandolfinos have said they found the perfect location.
Green & Tonic was founded with a spirited heart and an ambitious goal - to offer the purest, cold pressed juices, delicious superfood smoothies and nutritious, plant-based food that help toward a happier mind, body, and soul, while leading the way for socially-conscious initiatives. Green & Tonic hopes to engage the community in discussions about health and wellness with plans to start hosting "healthy happy hours" this summer, bringing in health professionals to address topics like nutrition, energy healing and massage therapy.
