Restaurant Openings stam Coffee healthy Breakfast Lunch The Granola Bar Opening Soon in Stamford: Breakfast, Lunch & Killer Coffee Stephanie Webster January 29, 2017 The Granola Bar of Westport and Greenwich will soon be opening its doors in Stamford's Harbor Point District as part of an exciting and large scale expansion plan. The Granola Bar has joined forces with Trilynx, an investment and operating platform whose founders have more than 15 years of experience in hospitality brands such as Disney and Starwood Hotels. This new team will take The Granola Bar's breakfast and lunch hot spot beyond the boundaries of CT, but more immediately, will debut the first ever The Granola Bar TO GO at 700 Canal Street in Stamford in spring 2017 (directly across from Fairway Market). The new location will differ from their traditional eat-in format, but will offer the full Granola Bar menu for take-out, delivery and catering as well as a grab-n-go fridge stocked with freshly made meals and snacks for diners on the run. The Granola Bar is well known for their all day breakfast and lunch including freshly made eggs, avocado toast, sandwiches and wraps, salads, parfaits and, of course, granola. Add to that artisanal coffee, signature smoothies and an array of baked goods and you've got the perfect recipe for easy day-time dining. Co-owner, Julie Mountain says “The Stamford opportunity is fantastic. Stamford was always a location we had our eye on. There are few coffee options in the area, and I think the catering piece of the business will come to the forefront here.”Despite the lack of formal seating indoors, there will be ample outdoor seating for warmer months and guests can take advantage of delivery or just walk-in for quick service. In terms of the menu, owner co-owner Dana Noorily comments, "To support the expansion plans, while listening to our customers, we tightened up our offerings to focus on the classics. Our new "Classic Menu," to be released shortly, will have all the greats people have come to love, with some expanded focus on our homemade granola. The new menu also gives us room to feature weekly specials." As for the caffeine options, The Granola Bar will serve their regular espresso menu in addition to their signature Cold Brew Nitro.Noorily says, "We brought back GRANOLA as the hero of our menu." Now we have seven or eight new flavors of both loose granola and bars including lemon cardomom, morning zest and another savory surprise. The Granola Bar will still bake everything out of their large Westport commissary, other than daily muffins that will be baked at the individual stores.Check back for updates on the opening of The Granola Bar in Stamford as we get closer in April.
