23+ Foodie Places to Celebrate Halloween in CT: 2017 Edition

We have some frighteningly great food news to share… many Connecticut restaurants, bars, farms, and markets are serving up boo-tiful Halloween specials!  Hotspots like Cask RepublicHub + Spoke, and The Spread will have nighttime parties for the 21+ crowd, while Wakeman Town FarmStew Leonards, and Hardcore Sweet Cupcakes have Halloween baking classes for youngsters.  It’s time to get out your costumes- Halloween 2017 is here!

  1. The Fez, Stamford: On Friday October 27 starting at 10pm, The Fez in Stamford will throw a Halloween Bash with live music by Free Flow. There will also be best costume prizes, drink specials, and more.
  2. Hummock Island Oyster Company, Westport: An extra spooky edition of the Hummock Island Oyster Tour will take place on Friday October 27 from 5-7pm. Wear your best costume... there will be a contest!
  3. The Black Rock Zombie Pub Crawl , Bridgeport: The Black Rock Zombie Pub Crawl will begin at Hub & Spoke on Friday October 27 at 7pm. From there, go on to participating bars and restaurants like Aspetuck Brew Lab, Mr. Crab Seafood and Bar, TruNorth, Brennan's, and Fire Engine Pizza. A wristband is $25 per person and 100% of proceeds go toward Puerto Rico hurricane relief.
  4. L’escale, Greenwich invites you to a Halloween Soiree on Saturday October 28 starting at 9pm. The best costume wins a magnum of wine!
  5. The Spread, Norwalk: invites you to "Spread of Thrones," a Game of Thrones inspired Halloween bash. Join them on October 28 starting at 6:30pm. 
  6. Black Rock Farmers Market, Bridgeport: The Black Rock Farmers Market's annual Harvest Hootenanny takes place on October 28 with food, booze, a corn hole tournament, artisans, vendors and more!
  7. Cask Republic, Stamford: On Saturday October 28, Cask Republic's Stamford location invites you to a spooky Redrum Murder Halloween Party. Starting at 10pm, there will be a costume contest, prizes, gift card giveaways, and cocktail specials.
  8. Cask Republic, New Haven hosts a Crown Street Halloween Party on Saturday October 28 at 10pm.
  9. Washington Prime, SoNo presents a Prima Con Halloween party on Friday October 27 starting at 10pm. Don your best superhero, villain, or video game costume for the evening!
  10. Wakeman Town Farm, Westport: At Wakeman Town Farm, young chefs can learn to bake treats for Halloween on October 30 from 3:30-5:30pm. The class is open to grades 2-5 and costs $65 per child.
  11. Stew Leonard’s, Newington: On Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 9am, families are invited to attend a Halloween Breakfast with Stew’s most loved characters in Newington. Tickets are $9.99/each for children aged 11 & under and $12.99/each for all those over the age of 12. Kids are encouraged to wear their costumes
  12. Black Hog, Oxford: Black Hog Brewing Company invites you to a Halloween party on Saturday October 28 from 2-8pm. The celebration will include Ted's Steamed Cheeseburger Truck, cupcakes from Hardcore Sweet Cupcakes, and prizes for best costume at 7:30pm.
  13. Cromwell Farmers Market, Cromwell: Sunday October 29 is "Spooky Sunday" at the Cromwell Farmers Market. Kids can come in costume for some trick or treating and even play in a bouncy castle.
  14. Guilford Mooring, Guilford is teaming up with Stony Creek Brewery to throw a Tim Burton themed Halloween Bash on Friday, October 27 beginning at 9pm. The evening will include beer and cocktail specials, a late-night food menu, costume contests, prizes and giveaways, live music and more! $10 cover charge, with a $3 donation from each cover donated to the Daniel Cosgrove Animal Shelter.
  15. Hardcore Sweet Cupcakes, Oakville: Join Hardcore Sweet Cupcakes in Oakville for a kid friendly spooky Halloween Kids Class on Saturday October 28 from 2-4pm. Youngsters can make Ghost Truffles and Cupcakes to take home and learn how to work with fondant, chocolate and buttercreams
  16. Ergo Chef LLC, Danbury: On October 28 at 9pm, Ergo Chef and Chef Plum present "Food Fight" Octember to Dismember. The Halloween themed event will see a showdown between award winning Chef John Brennan and Food Network Veteran Chef Carol Koty from Brookdale Wilton.
  17. Peaches, Norwalk: On Saturday 10/28, Peaches in Norwalk will have music by Otis and the Hurricanes. Plus, come dressed as a Fallen Rockstar or celeb. The fun starts at 9:30pm.
  18. Pour Me, Danbury: Macaroni Kid, the go-to site for family-friendly events in greater Danbury, will celebrate the Halloween season with a kids' masquerade brunch at Pour Me Coffee & Wine Bar on Sunday, October 29 from 11am to 12:30pm. The event costs $15 per adult and Kids Eat Free (ages up to 12 years old) with a paying adult.
  19. Bareburger, Ridgefield and Stamford: Bareburger, with locations in Ridgefield and Stamford, invites you to visit them this Halloween from 3-8pm. Kids and PETs are encouraged to come for burgers, candy, and drinks (for adults!).
  20. Bar Rosso, Stamford: Bar Rosso's FreakFest begins at 10pm on Saturday October 28. Join them for drink specials and a costume contest that could win someone $300 and dinner for two. There is a $20 optional cover, with proceeds going to the victims of the Las Vegas tragedy
  21. VISTA Lounge @Mohegan Sun, Uncasville: Mohegan Sun and VISTA Lounge invite you to a Halloween Open Costume Party on Saturday, October 28th at 9pm. Two winners, one male and one female, will win Best Overall Costume with a prize of a $100 gift certificate towards their next VIP table!
  22. O’Neill’s, Norwalk: On October 28, O'Neill's Irish Pub will host a costume contest. Plus, listen to live music by Dylan Conner and the Epic poets in your Halloween best.
  23. Johnny Utah’s, Norwalk will host costume contests Friday the 27th, October 28th, and Tuesday the 31st. Plus, there will be food and drink specials those evenings.

While the kids are out trick or treating for candy, adults can still get their fill of sweets!  These places in Connecticut serve up some of the state’s best desserts.
