Marcia Selden's recipe for Sangria Infused Watermelon and Manchego Skewers walks the line between appetizer and alcoholic beverage...which makes it the perfect party snack. Sangria Infused Watermelon and Manchego SkewersIngredients:½ C Pinot Noir¼ C Fresh Lemon Juice1/8 C Peach Juice 1 ½ T Sugar½ T Triple Sec2 T Brandy1 T Orange Juice10 (1/2 inch) Cubes Watermelon10 (1/4 inch) Cubes Manchego10 Mini Skewers1 t Chopped CilantroDirections:Combine the wine, lemon juice, peach juice, sugar, triple sec, brandy, and orange juice. Whisk until the sugar melts. Place the sangria into a plastic Ziploc bag with the watermelon cubes and close, squeezing all the air out. Refrigerate at least 4 hours, but for best results overnight. After the watermelon has marinated, skewer with the Manchego. When ready to serve, sprinkle with the cilantro.
