Westport Restaurant Week begins October 1 and lasts until October 15.  Popular restaurants like Rive Bistro, Le Penguin, Pearl, Rothbard Ale & Larder, and more will offer special fixed price lunch, brunch and dinner menus. 

Friday October 6 is National Noodle Day!  To celebrate, New Haven presents Noodles On9, a free family friendly event.  From 6-8pm, the street festival will close a section of Orange St in the Historic 9th Square so that participants can enjoy noodle dishes from local restaurants and the opening of Artspace’s City Wide Open Studios. 

October 4 is National Taco Day!  Celebrate at Bartaco with tacos, fresh-squeezed cocktails, an exclusive Snapchat filter, and a #bartacosecret reveal!

Mohegan Sun's BrewFest returns on Saturday October 7.  The Grand Tasting will feature over 150 beers and local restaurants will have food for purchase.  A portion of ticket sales will go to the Channel 3 Kids Camp. 

For the entire month of October, Mecha, with locations in Norwalk, Fairfield, and New Haven, will be donating 50 cents from each bowl of ramen sold to Green Wave Farms, with a company goal of raising $6,000 to fund 5 new Ocean Farms.

Greater Valley Restaurant week runs from October 2-7 with restaurants in Seymour, Ansonia, Shelton, Derby, and Oxford offering prix fixe menus and specials. 

Kickoff Milford Restaurant Week with “Chow Down Milford” in Costa Azzurra’s banquet room on Tuesday October 3.  From 5:30-8:30pm, get sneak peeks from participating restaurants.  Tickets are $25 in September, $30 beginning October 1, and $35 at the door.  Then, enjoy restaurant week itself starting October 9! 

A Brew and Stew Tasting & Competition will take place at Michael’s at the Grove in Bethel on October 5 from 6-9pm.  Local restaurants will offer samples and guests can vote for their favorite.  Meanwhile, there will be beverage tastings, a cash bar, music, and more.  Tickets are $35 online and $45 at the doors.  

On Thursday October 5, get into the Halloween spirit by making Halloween wreaths at The Hops Company.  Instructors from Craftivate will guide you through a design or you can simple create your own.  Food and drinks are available for purchase at THC.  It costs $55 and runs from 6:30-8:30pm. 

Then on Sunday, revisit The Hops Company for their Oktoberfest from 12-7pm.  Festivities include live music, dancing, a Brat Eating Contest, and Stein Hoisting Contest

Chop Shop Cooking invites you to learn about “Delicious Fishes” on Friday October 6 from 7-9pm.  The menu features Steamed Mussels with Coconut Curry Broth, Tuna Sliders with Wasabi Aioli, Seared Salmon with Cucumber Yogurt Sauce & Green Couscous, and Grilled Halibut with Gremolata &d White Beans with Tomatoes.  It costs $80 per person. 

The 2nd Annual Kitchen Crawl takes place on Saturday October 7 from 6-9pm.  Experience 5 chefs in 5 designer kitchens...while helping to feed the hungry in our community!   Guests purchase a $55 ticket and proceed to 5 different Westport houses, where chefs from The Spread, Mecha Noodle Bar, Match Burger Lobster, Rothbard's & Cask Republic will be cooking just for you. Cooking demos and specially prepared bites will be enjoyed alongside wine and beer provided and paired by Stew's Wines. 

Stony Creek Brewery's Docktoberfest takes place October 7. The brewery will become a beer garden, complete with food, music, games, and more. The $15 ticket even includes a take home stein.

Taste of Fairfield is Sunday October 8.  Restaurants, specialty markets, winemakers, craft brewers, and others will unite at Delamar Southport/Artisan Restaurant to present signature dishes, cocktails, and beverages. There will also be music and entertainment.  Tickets range from $60-$130 for adults, while children under 15 are $20. 

Celebrate Max’s 4th Annual Hoptoberfest on Sunday, October 8 at Rosedale Farms. The evening includes local beer, live music, and a German inspired spread by Max Catering & Events. 

Stamford’s Columbus Day Street Festival takes place on Sunday October 8.  Visit Columbus Park from 11am-3pm for Italian food, Italian music, dancing, an antique car show, and demonstrations.
