During the month of October,  Letizia's Pizza is serving up "Gertie's Pie of Hope," a Mac & Cheese pizza that raises money for the American Cancer Society and breast cancer research and awareness.  100% of the proceeds are going to charity.

Wine events are back at Go Fish in Mystic.  Visit them every Wednesday at 5:30pm for cheese and crackers, a complementary food pairing, and of course- wine!. Reservations are recommended, as space is limited.  It begins on October 17 with “Lighter, Brighter, Reds.”

Wakeman Town Farm and Bar Sugo’s Chef Alan Roytman are teaming up on Thursday October 18 for a Fall Farm Dinner.  Roytman will prepare a 4 course meal, complete with wine pairings.  It is $100 per person, and the intimate affair is limited to 20.

Every Wednesday starting October 17, the Fairfield location of Quattro Pazzi is going vegan!  Reservations are recommended.  Call 203.259.7417 to secure your seat. 

On Wednesday, October 17, Chef Renato of Basso Cafe is performing again!  He’ll team up with Leigh Richardson for another edition of #LIVEATBASSO.

Saltwater Restaurant & Bar has instituted Surf & Turf Thursday.  For $37.99 per person, get an appetizer, a surf & turf entrée, and a drink.

The Cook and the Bear presents MIXOLOGY 101 on Thursday, October 18 at 7pm.  Beverage director and cocktail creator Aaron Stepka will cover topics such as what makes a cocktail a cocktail, the right tools for the job, balancing flavors, stirring vs shaking, ice, recipes, and hosting parties.  Seats are limited.  Please call the restaurant to RSVP: 860-595-3345.  There is a $20 fee is to cover the cost of ingredients.  

NORWALK NOW presents CRUSH, A 5 Day Celebration of Beer, Wine, and Spirits, Tuesday through Saturday, October 16-20.  This 5-day schedule of thirst-quenching events celebrating the beer, wine, and spirits world is being presented by Norwalk Now’s talented group of businesses and special guests from the beverage world. Food Trucks on the River returns to Shelton on Friday, October 19 at the Veterans Memorial Park from 4pm-9pm.  There will be over 25 Food Trucks, Live Music, Children’s Activities, a Beer Garden, and more!  (Rain Date: Friday, October 26th, 4pm-9pm). 

Newtown Parks & Recreation presents a Fall Carnival on Keating Farms Avenue.  Join them Friday October 19-Sunday October 21.

Every Friday night in October, visit Bobby Q’s Cue & Company for Ribtoberfest.  All you can eat ribs are just $25!

Harbor Point’s Oktoberfest arrives in Stamford on October 20.  From 2-6pm, there will be Live Music, Carnival Games, a Kids Zone, a 21+ Samuel Adams Beer Garden, Food Trucks, and Foods from neighboring restaurants.  Tickets on sale now. 

Come celebrate 6 Years of Half Full Brewery at their 6th Anniversary Halloween Bash on October 20.  They will have 2 Food Trucks, including Hapa. Food will be available for purchase all night.

Stamford Health’s Health & Wellness Sports Expo comes to Chelsea Piers in Stamford on Saturday October 20 & Sunday October 21.

Union League Café is celebrating their 25th anniversary.  They are rolling out a handful of throwback dishes inspired by their first 25 years. Bartaco has another #secrettaco.  This time around they’re serving up Miso marinated cod on a blue corn tortilla with sesame aioli, pickled cucumber, shishito peppers, and toasted sesame seeds.  But shhh… it’s a #secret!

Priya Indian Cuisine in Rocky Hill now serves up a Sunday Night Tiffin Buffet from 5-10pm.  Dishes include Masala Dosa, Onion Dosa, Cheese Dosa, and more.

On Sunday October 21, Wakeman Town Farm Sustainability Center and Food Rescue US - Fairfield County are partnering to host a screening of Anthony Bourdain’s Wasted.
