Woodbury Restaurant Week is here!  It takes place from March 19-25 and includes Al’s Best Pizza, Carlito’s of Woodbury, Carole Peck’s Good News Café, The Charcoal Chef, Constantine’s, The Curtis House Inn, John’s Café, Market Place of Woodbury, The Olive Tree, Papa’s Main Street Deli, San Remo, The Split Rail, The Woodbury Brewing Company, and The Woodbury Diner.  .

Stew Leonard’s Norwalk store is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt Eggs-Travaganza starting at 4 pm on Monday, March 19. Children under 9 will be given a map of Stew Leonard’s and a bag to collect eggs from costumed characters throughout the store, including Wow the Cow, Cynthia Chick, and Daphne Duck among others. 

South Avenue Butcher in New Canaan continues their Butchery Classes on Tuesday March 20.  Mike The Butcher will teach you everything you need to know about the animal, as well a knife skills, techniques, and recipes. 

The Westport Library is thrilled to announce FLEX: experiences - a five-day series of innovative programs designed to showcase the future flexibility and innovation coming to the new Westport Library.  The events begin on Wednesday, March 21 with a celebrity lunch fundraiser hosted by local bestselling author Jane Green and emceed by James Beard Award winner Elissa Altman. The keynote of the lunch will be Sam Kass, former Obama White House Chef and Senior Policy Advisor for Nutrition.  On Thursday March 22nd, come to the Library for a food lovers’ Q&A with gourmet guru Ruth Reichl, the former editor of Gourmet Magazine. 

Bobby Q’s Cue & Co in Norwalk has all new weekly specials.  Mondays are Burger night, Tuesday night is family night, Wednesday is all about trivia, and Thursdays are for the ladies.

Chop Shop Cooking continues its spring cooking classes with an evening dedicated to “Party Bites” on Thursday night from 7-9pm.  The menu features Shrimp Dumplings with Peanut Sauce, Crabcakes with Rosy Fruit Salsa, Heirloom Tomato Bruschetta with Feta Pesto, Lobster Quesadillas with Mango Salsa, BBQ Chicken Wontons with Bleu Cheese Dip , and Cucumber Cups with Feta, Roasted Peppers & Olives. 

Half Full Brewery and CT Bites are teaming up for a series called "Beers & Bites," which pairs limited release beers from Half Full Brewery with totally off-menu food items from some of Fairfield County's best chefs and food truck operators. Each event will include 1 brick and mortar chef, 1 food truck chef, and a limited-release beer from the Half Full Brewery with the Brewers onsite to introduce each pairing. A $50 tickets includes 4 beers, all food, and a commemorative glass.  One will take place on Wednesday March 21. 

Peter and Nick Troilo of Nicholas Roberts Fine Wines in Darien are saying farewell… but also introducing you to the store’s new owner, David M. Wagner.  Visit them on Friday March 23 at 5pm for a tasting of rose and select libations and to say both hello and goodbye.

GoodWorks Entertainment in Fairfield, CT invites you to a Whiskey Social on Saturday March 24 at The Warehouse at Fairfield Theatre Company.  In addition to highlighting whiskey, there will also be meat, cheese, cigars, and dessert.  Participating vendors and restaurants include Ordinary, Custom Meats, The Owl Shop, Garelick & Herbs, and Shearwater Coffee Bar.  It takes place from 3-6pm and tickets can be purchased at

On Sunday March 25, participate in a Mead Making class with Nordic Moon Meadery at Red Bee Apiary. 

Le Penguin now serves brunch on Saturdays and Sundays… complete with a build your own bloody mary bar!

Le Fat Poodle invites those 21 and over to a “La Boum” Sunday Brunch Party on March 25 from 11:30am-3:30pm.  The event will feature a special a la carte brunch menu as well as a DJ with a percussionist.  Reservations are required.

Millwrights is pleased to host an evening with Chef Adrienne and Chef Chris from Top Chef on Sunday March 25.  All profits will be donated to The Sarcoma Foundation of America, in the name of fellow chef-testant Fatima Ali.  The evening will begin with a cocktail hour and lead to a five course dinner featuring the chefs twists on seasonal soul food.  It costs $115 per person, which includes tax, tip, wine, and gratuity. 

Counter Weight Brewing Company in Hamden will have a Dogs and Brews event from 12-5pm.  Bully Breed Rescue out of New Canaan will be there as well as Grateful Pawz, Love The Dog, BYOB and Pitties and Kitties.  Bull and Swine BBQ to nourish you will be there to provide food.
