Two Roads Brewery in Stratford invites you to an “Open Roads Beer Dinner” on Monday March 12 at 6pm.  Christie Caters- Farm to Table Catering will provide tasty food and each course will be paired with an 8oz pour of a Two Roads brew. The menu theme is "Around the World.” 

In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, Artisinal Burger Company in Manchester will have an Irish whiskey dinner on March 14.  Tickets are $65 per person. 

Aditi Goswami of Calcutta Kitchens will teach you how to make simple everyday Indian at Wakeman Town Farm on Thursday March 15. Learn to prepare a quick chicken curry, a vegetable curry, and rice pilafs. Don’t forget to BYOB!  The class is limited to 16 and costs $65. 

Max Amore Restaurant in Glastonbury hosts An Italian Wine & Food Pairing Dinner featuring the wines of Di Majo Norante on Tuesday March 13.  The evening will begin with a reception followed by a five course meal prepared by Chef David Stickney.  It costs $85 per person, plus tax and gratuity. 

Chop Shop Cooking continues its spring cooking classes with “Spring From the Sea” on Wednesday March 14 from 7-9pm.  The menu includes Sesame Crusted Tuna Tacos with Mango Chimichurri and Sriracha Cream; Shrimp Saganaki with Feta; Seared Scallops with Pine Nut Agrodolce; and Pan Roasted Skate with Brown Butter and Capers.  It is $80 per participant.

On Wednesday March 14, The Essex in Centerbrook presents a Whitcraft Wine Dinner at 6:30pm.  Chef Colt Taylor will create six course Omakase menu to be paired with outstanding Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Syrah of Whitcraft Winery.  Tickets are $125 per person. 

Litchfield’s Saltwater Grille will have a “Sips of South America Wine Dinner” on March 14.  Five-courses inspired by South American cuisine will be paired with wines from throughout the continent. Tickets are $75 per person plus tax and gratuity. 

AMG Catering will have a St. Patty’s Day themed cooking class on Wednesday March 14 from 7-9 pm.  Create Smoked salmon tartlettes, Reuben “Nachos,” Brussels with stout cream sauce, and Scones with pear and Irish cheddar and honey.  It is $90 per person. 

On Thursday March 15, Millwrights in Simsbury will host a five course game dinner.  Since seating is limited, Chef Tyler Anderson and Chef Niles Talbot will be around to say hello answer any questions.  It costs $95 per person, which includes food, beverage pairings, tax and gratuity. 

On Thursday March 15, 55 Wine Bar & Wood Grille invites you to “Ladies Who Lunch for a Cause,” which will benefit Adam's House.  Between 12pm and 4pm, enjoy a two course prix fixe brunch menu for $25.  Make a reservation by calling (203) 955-1178.

On March 15, Fleming's West Hartford presents a wine dinner featuring five wines from Joseph Phelps Vineyard. Chef Partner Headley Wilson has created 6 courses to complement their esteemed wines. $150 per person includes tax and gratuity.  It begins at 6:30pm. 

Saturday March 17 is St. Patrick’s Day!  Connecticut restaurants, venues, and caterers are offering up special menus and celebrations in honor of the holiday.  Here are just a few:

Admission is FREE to Fairfield Theater Company's St. Patrick's Day celebration on the 17th. Once inside, enjoy free tastings courtesy of Guinness, listen to music by the Highland Rovers and Green Eyed Lady, check out luxury vehicles from BMW of Bridgeport, and try your luck at games and giveaways.

  • The 6th Annual Shamrock Stroll kicks off at Stamford's Harbor Point at 10am on the 17th. Post-race, local restaurants like Barebuger, Fortina, Mexicue, Walter's Hot Dogs, Boothbay Lobster, and Sign of the Whale will be in Harbor Point Square.
  • ·O'Neill's in Norwalk always puts on an epic St. Patty's Day bash. This year, they promise food, drinks, Irish dancers, bag pipers, and live music all day.

It’s all about Sushi, Ramen, and Sake at Taproot on Sunday March 18!  Chef Jeffrey Taibe is teaming up with Benny Chow of Ki Asian Bistro and Skurnik Wines for a sushi and Asian-inspired dinner with sake pairings.  It costs $95 per person, plus tax.

If you want to travel, but don’t have time off, The Engine Room in Mystic will help by transporting you to Mexico through food!  Chef James Wayman as will create a multicourse dinner with drink pairing inspired by his travels in Oaxaca.  Dinner is $85 plus tax and gratuity. 

Chili meets baseball the 10th Annual Big Chili Warm Up on Sunday March 18th!  Vote for your favorite chili and enter to win prizes all while supporting Danbury Westerners Baseball Team. 

Watson’s Catering & Events is pleased to offer a new events space in Greenwich.  At 800 square feet, the space can hold up to 30 guests for cocktail parties and 12 guests for sit down dinners.  It is available from 5-11pm and there is a venue fee of $1500.  http://www.watsonscatering.com/

Tickets are on sale now for the 2018 Connecticut Blind Beer Awards on Saturday, April 21 from 1-5pm at The Blind Rhino.  There are only 100 tickets available for the event and you can purchase them at BlindBeerAwards.com.

 Le Penguin in Westport now serves brunch.  On Saturdays and Sundays, build your own bloody marys or enjoy other brunch drinks where refills are just $3.
