The Blind Rhino will host the Third Annual Connecticut Blind Beer Awards on Saturday, April 21st, from 1pm – 5pm, in Norwalk CT. Only 100 tickets are available and they can be purchased here.

The Connecticut Blind Beer Awards is a unique beer tasting-experience, hosted by Ken Tuccio, where hype and bias are eliminated and beer drinkers decide what they like based solely on the liquid.

12 of Connecticut’s finest breweries have been invited to bring their best IPA to the Connecticut Blind Beer Awards. The beer from each brewery will be poured completely blind. Neither the names of the breweries, nor information about the specific beer being poured, will be divulged to the public.

Those in attendance will be given the opportunity to vote for the beers they enjoyed most, without knowing anything about the beer they’re drinking.

After the tasting has concluded we will reveal all of the breweries involved in the event. Then, after all of the votes have been tallied, we will reveal the People’s Choice Winner of the 2018 Connecticut Blind Beer Awards!

Ken Tuccio, one of the creators of the Connecticut Blind Beer Awards, had this to say about the event, “This is a very important event for the Connecticut beer community as a whole. There’s a lot of bias in Connecticut beer. This event eliminates that. Any pre-conceived judgments you have about a specific brewery are thrown out the window. You’re simply judging the beer. Not the company, not the artwork or how ‘rare’ a certain beer is. It’s the liquid that matters.”

Tickets for this event are ONLY $50. That ticket includes entry to the event and samples of all the beer being served. The tickets also include passed appetizers (which will be served all day) as well as an All- You-Can-Eat Buffet starting at 4pm!
