On Monday May 14, Chef Luke Venner of elm in New Canaan will cook at the historic James Beard House in NYC!  The event begins at 7pm, and tickets are $135 for members and $175 for the public. 

Visit Fletcher Cameron Kitchens in New Haven for a mixology and tapas event featuring Barcelona Restaurant & Wine Bar on May 16.  Learn the basic history of tapas and about great cocktails to pair with them.  Signed copies of The Barcelona Cookbook: A Celebration of Food, Wine and Life will be on sale as well.   

Yoga and beer collide at Still Hill Brewery on May 16.  The Rocky-Hill based brewery invites you to a one hour yoga session… complete with a pint of your choosing!

In just a over a week, on Thursday, May 17th, the Westport Farmers’ Market will return for its 12th year 50 Imperial Avenue.  Join them ever Thursday through November 8 from 10am-2pm.  This year’s vendors include new additions like Grateful Food Company and Norm Bloom & Sons along with returning favorites like Cross Culture Kombucha, Sport Hill, Aradia, Muddy Feet Flower Farm, and more.   

The Second Annual Taste of Farmington will unfold at the Farmington Gardens on Thursday May 17 at 5:30pm.  Over 25 participating restaurants, pastry shops, breweries, wine representatives, and farms from the Farmington Valley area will be on hand… all to benefit TWO outstanding organizations, Healing Meals Community Project and Gifts of Love CT!   

Shell & Bones Oyster Bar and Grill in New Haven has launched a weekday lunch service!  It is available Wednesday-Friday from 11am-2:30pm.  

The annual Dress for Success Mid-Fairfield County- Toast to Success Benefit event will take place on Thursday May 17 at the Patterson Club in Fairfield, CT.  The food will be prepared by Chef George Flay who has over 20 years creating delicious dishes at some of the area's finest restaurants and hotels.

The 3rd Annual Two Roads Beer Event Supporting Camp Rising Sun in Stratford takes place on May 19.  Your $25 ticket gets you two beer tickets.  There will also be a raffle and pizza.

Get ready for Hopkins Vineyard’s Annual Barrel Tasting Event, which will take place May 19 & 20 from from 12-5pm outside under our tent.  Admission is $12 per person.  There will be Barrel Samples, Regular Wine Tastings, and Wines by the Glass or Bottle for purchase.  Christie Caters food truck will have food to buy as well.   

On May 19 & 20, Hubbard Park in Meriden, CT will serve as the venue for the “Hubbard Park Food Truck Fest & Craft Fair.”  There will be over 30 food trucks and 30 local vendors.  Admission is free.   

Seaport Association’s Copps Island Oyster Luau will take place on May 19 from 5-7pm at Norm Bloom & Son Oyster Farm in Norwalk.  The evening will include a ukulele trio, island-themed hors-d’oeuvres, beer, wine, and a signature cocktail called “Tropical Grace.”  Tickets are $75 online after May 7, and, at the door if space permits, at the door.  It is limited to 200 people. 

Nod Hill Brewery comes to Taproot on Sunday May 20.  Enjoy five courses with beer pairings for
$7 per person, plus tax and gratuity.

The Tasty Yolk has announced its latest special: The Cuba Good(morn)ing Jr!  It includes pulled pork, ham, swiss, house made pickles, 2 eggs, and dijonaisse on a Portuguese roll.
