Nibble: Super Tasty, Boozy, and Fun CT Food Events for Week of January 28 to February 3

The Doro Restaurant Food Crawl takes place on Monday January 28.  Begin the evening at Treva for wine and appetizers before heading to Zohara Mediterranean Kitchen for an incredible family meal.  Finish at Àvert Brasserie.  Tickets are $75. 

Taste of Hartford continues through February 3!  Participating restaurants throughout the Greater Hartford area will offer special multi-course, price-fixed menus. 

Now on Tuesday Night, The Restaurant at Rowayton Seafood presents “Burgers, Bourbon, & Beer.”  Enjoy one of the chef’s burger creations or customize your own.  Craft beer selections and brown spirits round out this comforting menu.

Bourbon Raw in Norwalk will have a High West Whiskey Dinner on Tuesday January 29.  The evening includes a cocktail reception and 4 course dinner with drink pairings.  Tickets are $70 per person and the event starts at 6:30pm. 

Milestone in Georgetown will have a themed dinner night on Tuesday January 29.  "Havana Nights" starts at 6:30pm and features Cuban music, Cuban food, and Cuban cocktails.

Trumbull Kitchen in Hartford hosts an Oregon Winemaker’s Dinner on Wednesday January 30.  It starts with a reception at 6pm and continues with a sit-down dinner at 6:30pm.  The evening focuses on Willamette Valley Vineyards and includes Guest Speaker Ryan Clifford, Harvest Winemaker and Regional Brand Manager. 

AMG Catering will have a Pre Chinese New Years Class on Wednesday January 30 from 7-9pm.  The menu includes Moo Shu chicken “wraps,” Park and chive potstickers, and Beef and broccoli Lo mein with Oyster sauce.  It is $90 per person. https://amgcatering.com/adult-cooking-class-schedule-winter-2019/ 

Fountainhead, Bar Sugo and Italian wine importer Anthony Lamonaca are teaming up for an Italian Wine Dinner on Thursday January 31.  Enjoy an Antipasto followed by 4 courses alongside wine pairings.  Dishes include Brick oven roasted clams and shrimp, Tagliatelle with truffle butter, and more.  Rickets are $85 per person plus tax and tip.  Call Bar Sugo at 203-956-7134 for reservations.

Two Steps Downtown Grille in Danbury hosts a Bogle Wine Dinner on January 31.  Robbie LaBlanc, the Northeast Wine Manager for Bogle Wines, will guide you through the meal and pairings… and even play his guitar!  It costs $60 per person and starts at 7pm.

Fairfield Cheese Company invites you to A Winter Tasting of Cheese and Wine on January 31.  In this tasting class, discover the best cheeses the winter season has to offer paired with a selection of wines.  Tickets are $50 and can be purchased online.
