Tavern on State hosts an Armada Brewing Beer Dinner on Monday November 4.  $80 includes 5 beers, four courses, tax, and gratuity.  Seating begins at 6pm and the dinner follows at 6:30pm.

The Connecticut Cider Association presents the first ever Connecticut Cider Festival on Saturday November 9!  Cider Conn 2019 takes place at Zandri's Stillwood Inn.  Join them for unlimited cider sampling, food trucks, live music, and more.  Tickets start at $15. 

Amis Trattoria’s Guest Chef Series continues on Wednesday November 6 with Emily Mingrone of Tavern on State.  Amis Executive Chef Jes Bengtson and Mingrone will create a one-night-only menu of specials inspired by the guest chef’s specialties. 

On Monday November 4, enjoy a Subedge Farm Dinner at Fork & Fire.  The evening will be intimate and only 20 seats are available.  The event begins with passed hors d’oeuvres like Crispy Pork Belly and Rutabaga Arancini.  It continues with two courses, family style entrees, and dessert.  Beer and wine are also included. 

The Fifth Annual Best of West Hartford Awards Show takes place on Monday November 4 at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar.  Enjoy food and drink from Fleming’s, a 5th Anniversary signature drink, a 5th Anniversary Cake by Classic Cakes, a crudité harvest table, and more.  Tickets are $50 in advance and $60 at the door.

Tuesday November 5 is Awesome Autumn Day at the New Canaan Nature Center.  Visit the animals, make autumn themed crafts, hear from naturalists, and more.  The event is free, though donations are much appreciated. 

At Terrain’s Pickling and Preserving Workshop on Wednesday, November 6, learn how to preserve your at-home harvest.  The Cafe chefs will give you tips and tricks for pickling and preserving fruits and vegetables. Each attendee will also receive a jar of freshly made pickles to take home.  $65 per person includes instruction, supplies, one jar of pickles to take home, tax, and service. 

What embodies fall more than pie?  Just in time for the holidays, The Perfect Pear Kitchen in Haddam is teaching you how to achieve the perfect crust.  This hands-on class is all about learning to make pie crust, roll it out and handle it. While you won't be baking a pie, but you'll go home with your own crust ready to make your own pie at home.   

On Wednesday November 6, Moffly Media presents the Best of Greenwich awards at the Hyatt Regency.  There will be cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, holiday shopping, live music, and more. 

Max Fish in Glastonbury hosts a Bourbon & Cigar Pairing Dinner on November 7.  The event features whiskey of Brown-Forman and cigars from The Tobacco shop.  The meal includes 5 courses, dessert, and cigars and additional bourbon on the patio.  $165 includes tax, gratuity, food, whiskey, and cigars. 

Walrus Ale + Lager and Nod Hill Brewery have teamed up to bring you the new Giddyup collaborative beer.  Launching November 7, the hop-forward pilsner will be featured at Walrus + Carpenter, on tap at Nod Hill Brewery, and sold in cans.

Untitled Bistro at the Wadsworth Athenaeum Museum of Art in Hartford invites you to a jazz brunch on November 10.  Partake in a brunch buffet with live music from the Robert LotreckTrio!.  Tickets are $39 (or $29 for members) and include museum admission, jazz, brunch, and one complimentary bloody mary or mimosa. There are two seatings, 10:30am and 12:30pm.

Luna Pizza, located at 999 Farmington Avenue in West Hartford, is excited to welcome their new Chef Jordan Nicholas to the Luna family.  Before coming to Luna, Nicholas was a Chef at Tap Rock restaurant in Unionville and prior to that was with Cure, also in Unionville.  Chef Nicholas plans to continue adding to Luna’s signature pizza menu with fresh new pasta recipes, locally sourced appetizers, and his love of classic Italian home cooking.
