Nibble: Tasty CT Food Events for November 24- December 1

Chef Emily Mingrone’s Tavern State now serves brunch!  Check it out from 11am-3pm on Saturdays and Sundays.  Reservations are available on Resy.

The Tasty Yolk has a new special.  “Get Stuffed” includes 2 over easy eggs, toasted brioche stuffing, pulled roasted turkey gravy, and house cranberry sauce.  It is available at all locations.  Visit their brand new storefront or check their Facebook page for the location of their 3 food trucks. 

Tisane Euro-Asian Café presents a Friendsgiving Drag Show on Tuesday November 26 from 10pm-12am.  A $10 ticket gets you access to performances by Mizery McRae & Marita Bonita and music by DJ John Rsaza.  Sip on $5 house wines, $6 specialty cocktails, and $3 select beer. 

Wednesday November 27 marks the first official crossover event between Birdman Juke Joint and The Acoustic!  Birdman will honor 20% off all day when you show your ticket to "Thanksgiving Eve with The Breakfast" at The Acoustic. They will also be rolling out a late night "Got Munchies?" menu priced at $5 for all those who worked up an appetite on the dance floor.  There will be dinner music from 6-8 to get you in the groove before The Breakfast hits the big stage across the street.  

Powder Hall Brewery in Middletown is having its Grand Opening on Wednesday November 27!  Starting at 3pm, guests can go check out the latest establishment and taste their brand new brews.  Find them at 62 Washington Street. 

Join Washington Prime SoNo for their 6th Annual Thanksgiving Eve Kickoff Happy Hour!!  There will be live music by Ryan Parrino + Ian Biggs from 4- 7pm.  You’ll also receive 50% of all red star apps, raw bar, beer, wine and specialty cocktails from 4-6pm.  Please note that they will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. 

Thanksgiving is Thursday November 28 and CT Restaurants are serving up some delicious meals and holiday specials.  Places like Rosie in New Canaan and Dinosaur BBQ in Stamford have great to-go items while hotspots like David Burke Prime and Infinity Music Hall & Bistro have excellent dine-out options.  Check out the full list. 

On Friday November 29, Hanging Hill Brewery in Hartford hosts a Barreled Death Barreled and Dark Beer Festival.  The event will celebrate the launch of their Bourbon Barrel Aged Kompromat, this year aged in George Dickell barrels.  They’ve also invited other local breweries to share their own dark winter brews.  Bear's BBQ will be cooking up a special menu just for Barreled Death and will be serving up smoked turkey legs.  Tickets are $50 for general admission, with only 100 tickets available. 

Santa and his LIVE reindeer – Dasher, Dancer and Prancer - are coming back for the 11th Annual Greenwich Reindeer Festival , which runs from November 29 to December 24, 2019.  The town tradition takes place at Sam Bridge Nursery & Greenhouses at 437 North Street, where visitors can have their photo taken with Santa, meet the reindeer and also enjoy the new Santa’s Village, train and carousel rides.  

On Friday November 29 and Saturday November 30, Sweet Equations in Farmington will teach you how to make a Candy Cake in time for the holidays!  They’ll provide everything you need to go home with a 6” cake. 

Twin Star Herbal Education in New Milford hosts a Holiday Bazaar on Saturday November 30.  Handmade and artisan items, wellness products, seasonal gifts, and much more will be available.  Visit them from 11am-5pm. 

On Saturday November 30, the Big Green Pizza Truck is heading to East Rock Brewing Company in New Haven.  Freshly made pizza & beer... what can be better?
