The 10th Annual Hartford Rib Off is Back June 14-15

The 10th Annual Hartford Rib Off is back and returning to  Hartford’s Riverside Park from June 14-15, 2019. 100% of the proceeds from the Hartford Rib Off festival is donated to local charities:  MARC Community Resources LTD, Mayor Mike's Foundation for Kids, and The Hartford Rib Off Scholarship Fund.

Guests can enjoy a Kick-off Party, an All-Day BBQ event, Kansas City Barbeque and New England Barbecue Society Competitions, Live Music and more while 100% of proceeds are donated to Charity. 

The Hartford Rib Off Festival is supported by community partners, 102.9 The Whale, Radio 104.1, Miller Lite, Tito's Handmade Vodka, and GN Construction LLC. Presenting Sponsor this year is Hall’s Market of West Hartford.  This year's festival will begin on June 14th with the Hartford Rib Off Kick-Off Party where guests can enjoy live music, beer samples from 20 different breweries, Tito’s Vodka craft cocktails, and unlimited water and soft drinks. The best pitmasters in New England will come together to compete for first place in a New England Barbeque Society sanctioned Steak and Wing Tailgate contest.

Guests can participate in a “People’s Choice” competition where *you* judge the BEST CHICKEN WINGS from our pitmasters.  People’s choice samples are free, and additional food options will be available for purchase from the area’s best Food Trucks and food vendors. This is a 21+ event. Tickets are $20 in advance ($30 at the door) and $10 for designated drivers. Event runs from 6pm-9pm.  Live music will be provided by the Hartford’s own Professors of Sweet SweetMusic.   

On Saturday, June 15th the HARTFORD RIB OFF festival continues from 11:30AM - 5:00pm with a family-friendly day packed with an Unlimited BBQ, Unlimited Beer, Tito’s Craft Cocktails, water and soft drinks, Live Entertainment, kidsactivities, and vendors.  Attendees can choose from a delicious BBQ buffet of ribs, pulled pork, chicken, and various sides. Upon entry, attendees ages 21+ will receive one official Hartford Rib Off commemorative cup, which entitles entrant to unlimited beer from Miller Lite and other breweries. Water and soft drinks are always available for children and designated drivers. Parking is free.

A KCBS Pro Series Sanctioned Contest will feature more than20 BBQ pit masters who will spend hours preparing 4 meats for this BBQ contest, and will be independently evaluated by a panel of judges.  In addition, the Rib Off will be awarding a People’s Choice Trophy to the pitmaster attendees judge to have the best pulled pork. Attendees are encouraged to visit the cook teams for free pulled pork samples, and to cast a vote!  The winners of the Rib Off are announced during the event and prizes/trophies will be awarded.  Also this year attendees will be given the opportunity to sample free ribs from the various Pit Masters.   

Ticket Prices for Saturday- $50 Adult ($65 at the door); Kids 12 and under - FREE; $20 Kids 12-20; $100 Family Pack (2 adults; 2 children up to age 20).   There are a limited number of presale tickets available for $50.
