Artisan Southport hosts a Culinary Fight Club Connecticut: Seafood Showdown on July 30. FIREBOX Restaurant in the Frog Hollow neighborhood of Hartford will be cohosting a Cocktail Hour, Auction, and Book signing with Jacques Pépin in support of Billings Forge Community Works (BFCW) on August 3 at 5:30pm. BFCW runs a culinary training program which provides training, internships, and job opportunities for more than 50 youth and adults each year in their KITCHEN cafes. This program is in keeping with the Jacques Pépin Foundation’s mission to support free culinary and life-skills training through community-based organizations.
