Festivities kick off with an Opening Night party on March 4 at the J House. Sample a variety of tasty tapas and light bites, sip creative cocktails poured by local mixologists, and dance to a DJ. This kind of cheese is known for being melted and scraped over bread, potatoes, cornichons, and cured meats. Check it out for yourself from 7-9pm! The Redding Roadhouse hosts a Duckhorn Wine Dinner on Wednesday March 5 from 6:30-9:30pm. The famous Napa Valley wines will be paired with 4 delicious courses, including dishes like Seared Diver Scallop and Beef Two Ways. Tickets are $85. Mystic Restaurant Week continues from March 2-March 8. Popular restaurants like the Engine Room, Go Fish, The Irons, and Bravo Bravo will be offering special menus and prices. The event is brought to you by the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce. Winter Cooking Series: Seasonal Sustainability continues at the Stamford Museum & Nature Center on March 2. Join the Chef Team from Terrain Cafe and Amis Trattoria, Westport for a six week teaching and tasting culinary journey as they share creative, delicious recipes and stylish presentations. Gluten Free substitutes and alternatives will be discussed for each recipe. On 3/2, Terrain Sous Chef Chris Bodley sources New Bedford Scallops to create a unique seafood dish that features beuree blanch. You’ll also learn how to utilize asparagus in three different techniques to pair with these local beauties. On Tuesday March 4, BevMax Stamford hosts a Michter’s Whiskey Master Class with Pam Heilmann, Master Distiller at Michter’s. The event starts at 6:30pm and tickets are $20.
